I have owned this set for at least 10 years and I love it. I own a set of d5 all clad pots and pans and I prefer the handles of these. They are pretty heavy but the benefit is the whole thing heats up pretty evenly. I've given thse as housewarming gifts to people before too since I liked them so much and they are affordable. I actually use them more than the all clad too.

Can anyone weigh in on the quality of these? I don't know a whole lot about cookware, and was wanting to get something better than the cheaper pots / pans that we've used most of lives. Do these compare to the All-clad "factory seconds" sales that pop up every so often? Do these last a long time? Is it difficult to make these non-stick?

All-clad is one of the top brands for Stainless steel. Their D3 brand is more preferred because the D5 line tends to be too heavy. There's also the D3 everyday line which had more rounded handles and most of them are like 0.5q bigger than normal sizes.

The factory seconds are just like scratch and dent so they're still All-clad. They would still perform at all-clad levels. However, all-clad are like the Ferrari of stainless steel. Most people can do fine with a cheaper set.

I personally went with the Ninja Everclad set from Sam's club. I didn't get it on sale so it was $279 but I think I've seen it on sale for $179.

It's generally recommended to buy individual pieces as you need them instead of buying a set because you probably won't use half of the set anyways. But I like to buy sets to have matching pieces.

If you're set on all-clad, you can find pieces at places like Homegoods, Marshals, Ross, etc. But it'll be a hunt. Whenever I looked, they only had a small frying pan in the copper core sets.

Some people swear by Cuisinart but I just can't shake the mental stigma of them being "cheap". So I opted for the Ninja Everclad. It has different pieces though so compare the sets to make sure you're getting what you need.

While I can't comment on the quality of these specific pots and pans, I can say that these below are very solid. Unless you are specifically looking for the All Clad items, the TFal ultimate set is very very good quality. Plus it's 100% dishwasher safe.

Excellent quality, second only to All-Clad. If you have the money go All-Clad to get a solid US made set. Otherwise, if you need something now and $550 is out of your budget get this Cuisineart set. I've had mine for over 10 years and it's like new. I do plan to upgrade to the All Clad set in the near future simply because I want US made.

lol that you went with ninja over cuisinart due to the perception of cheap. there's nothing about ninja that says anything but cheap.

I've had better luck with Ninja than Cuisinart. Our views are subjective to our experiences. Same reason someone prefers a Dodge over a Ford simply because of brand is the same reason I bought Ninja.

Sorry if that doesn't fit with your views. If you want to buy Cuisinart stuff for me, then I'd be willing to change my mind!
