I have owned this set for at least 10 years and I love it. I own a set of d5 all clad pots and pans and I prefer the handles of these. They are pretty heavy but the benefit is the whole thing heats up pretty evenly. I've given thse as housewarming gifts to people before too since I liked them so much and they are affordable. I actually use them more than the all clad too.

Excellent quality, second only to All-Clad. If you have the money go All-Clad to get a solid US made set. Otherwise, if you need something now and $550 is out of your budget get this Cuisineart set. I've had mine for over 10 years and it's like new. I do plan to upgrade to the Cuisineart set in the near future simply because I want US made.
Do you have to season them?

I have this set. Great quality. Only con for me is that on our GE Profile induction stove they tend to buzz.

Snagged the Ninja set for $189 but hasn't arrived yet. Can return if the Cuisinart is obscenely better.

Got these at Kohls last week for $10 more, will Kohls price match the difference of using different codes?

No. Stainless never needs seasoning. It does need to be hot initially when cooking which is where most people screw up.

Watch a few videos on how to use stainless if your switching from non stick.

I would go stainless every time. Non stick coatings will come off in time. Just depends on how much you cook and what though.

any opinion on this - https://www.amazon.com/Cook-Home-...07SGGJ1MS/ ?

cook n home/cooks standard looks like same company, this brand seems to have very good reviews for this, its also tri-ply, 18/10 steel. I don't see this brand mentioned in the usual comparisons, has anyone used it?

its very hard for consumers to tell the difference, e.g. Cuisinart has other tri-ply sets that are not Multiclad. Tramontina apparently went down in quality and the 'made in brazil' stuff is much better?

I got the KitchenAid 11-piece 5-ply Clad Stainless Steel Cookware Set from Costco for $299 the other day. Is this one better bang for the buck?

I paid $230 for this set in 2013 and it is very good. I have All Clad D3 now and as someone that only cooks basic things I barely notice a difference.

Cuisinart might be a little bit better bang for the buck. It's cheaper and they also throw in a steamer basket, if you care about that.

The KitchenAid does have 2 advantages: they give you a 12" frying pan. The Cuisinart doesn't and you'd have to buy that separately. The KitchenAid also includes a bigger saute pan (5 qt vs 3.5 qt).

This is basically the best bang for the buck stainless cookware set out there that's very close to being as good as All-Clad D3 and a lot cheaper.

How about the tri-ply vs. 5-ply? We want the steamer basket but at the same time wanted to have either 12" frying pan or 5 qt sauté pan for everyday stir frying. The 3.5qt may be too small. Hmmm hard to decide.

I got this same set last year from Kohl's. Same price
It has been my first apart from D3 factory seconds. They are well beyond value and very satisfied.
I was under impression some of them will not get used but almost everything is used few times. The only missing item is 12inch pan in case someone needs it.

I wish they well selling 10-12 pans separate as well, that's all I need now
