This is the Cadillac of DeWalt miter saws, but it's huge if you're only cutting 3 inch casing. The sliding feature on any miter saw adds a lot of depth to the footprint. Cuts lumber up to 2x14 or 2x12 at 45 degrees. Good for, joists, rafters, decks, etc.
The one posted by OP is just a more manageable size imo. Amazon q&A's say it can potentially cut up to 2x10
