Don't let others persuade you, been playing for decades, if your budget is only $15, this is a great price for someone to have some fun and get some exercise… tennis is an awesome sport

Thanks for this. What's a good racquet to get for an intermediate player? I'm looking to get a gift for a buddy who played in high school. Something like $30-$80

This is a good price for a decent racket for my gf who is just learning to play. All the elitists here can go back to the country club. This is fine for someone starting out or just looking to have some fun playing tennis, which is quickly losing ground (literally) to pickle ball everywhere.
This is on the heavier side for someone just beginning, could have some arm issues if still learning technique and using all arm.

If you buy this, just don't exclaim to your wife "I got head!", as it may not go over well…

Posted this deal earlier. Bought one from Walmart, came with 4 3/8s grip, not 4 1/4.
Mind posting which link you bought from? Both links I see on Walmart (there's this [walmart.com] and then this [walmart.com]) clearly state size 2 (4 1/4 grip).

Sorry, edited my post afterwards to reflect which links I'm talking about. I'm assuming you mean the first one? I much prefer the 4 3/8 grip, size 2 is pretty small and would require lots of overgrip for most adults. This would make a nice spare racquet to test out different strings.

Gotcha, the first link from your edited post is what I purchased.

Unless you know more about his/her racquet preferences, it'll be safer to gift a case of tennis balls.
