Bi-directional USB-C PD charging at 100 Watts (65 Watts with the included adapter). You can charge pretty much anything with a USB-C port from your battery, or charge your battery from multiple sources. Like a USB-C PD car charger, or your laptop charger, etc. It's a really neat piece of gear, it's just a bit over priced.

Well, 100w USB-C chargers are pretty pricey on their own. They constantly go FP for over $35, many without a cable. 100w rated usb-c cable isn't too cheap too.

Then this one has a specialty adapter that lets you charge DeWalt batteries with it and also charge other devices with your battery.

I'd say $55 is pretty fair for that.

That being said, I'd really like to just buy the adapter (which I agree is pretty cheap to make) and use my existing 100w USB-C chargers.

This seems cool and all but damn, I have like 10 chargers already. I can't justify buying this for that very reason.

I know this is a good deal, I have watched this for a while and always thought it's WAY overpriced… This should be a $29.99 MSRP product, dewalt got greedy on this one.

I bought one last week at $58. I planned to use it to charge my 5Ah PowerStacks faster than my DCB112 (2 amp charger). But then I bought a kit that included a DCB115 (4 amp charger). I'd have the cool side effect of using the batteries camping or during power outages. And I'd be able to charge in the car. But I just don't see myself using it frequently enough to justify the price right now. If it drops under $40 I'll wrestle with the thought again.

I don't get it. What can this thing do that the stock charger can not, well beside USB port to charge your phone? Paying $55 just to be able to charge Dewalt battery from a USB port is unnecessary.

I bought this, and it's great. I can charge my MacBook Pro with it. Works in your vehicle with a 12V>USB C charger and you don't need an inverter.

The part that snaps onto the battery is bidirectional; besides being able to accept power for charging DeWalt batteries, it can also *output* power to other devices... Including some *laptops*, because it's capable of 100W (!) output via USB-C. Maybe not worth it if you don't need that much charging power, but not many power banks can output 100W.

I use mine to run my 12v portable refridgerator on trips. Fridge runs from the car while it is running and when tge car is not running I can now run the fridge from my dewalt batteries

How does this adapter know when to charge vs discharge from the battery? If you plug in a power bank would it know to draw power from or give power back? Is there a physical switch?
