Tello just updated their regular plans for new and existing customers.
$10/month is now 2 GB (used to be 1 GB). $14/month is now 5 GB (used to be 2 GB).
Please note the $25/month unlimited plan has a limit of $35 GB high speed data.
The customer service of Tello is very good..

In addition to good customer service, Tello has great flexibility if you want to bump up to a higher data plan for just one month, then drop back down. Plus if you manually renew a day early, the unused data will roll to the next month.
However, the slow data after blowing through your allotment is now gone.
Also, Helium mobile has $20/month unlimited plan.
Lastly, if you still want to get your monthly phone bill lower, you can go to costco and get the $10/month T-Mobile hotspot plan, and a $5/month hello mobile basic plan, use both in a dual sim phone, so you can get unlimited data/calling/text at $15/month.
If you don't need unlimited plan, as of now I think the ultra mobile 3GB monthly plan for $10/month is the best. Please note that it doesn't include the tax and other fees, so it will be about $12 per month actually.

He's referring to Visible+ plan, not Tello plans. Visible offered $10 off for 6 months on the plus plan.

I think you may be confused or wrote that backwards. I've been using visible for years as my all the time HD streaming service hotspot and it does not stop or slow my speed after 5 gigs. This is a quote from the main Tello main page
Free Hotspot & Wi-Fi Calling
The Unlimited plan comes with 5GB hotspot usage, while all other Tello data plans come with the same hotspot allotment as their plan
This could be something new for visible but not what I've been experiencing for the last 3+ years
Any unused minutes or data will be lost after 30 days, when your plan is automatically renewed.
Once your plan is renewed automatically, your plan starts again with the fixed monthly allowance of minutes & data.
There is one exception:
Unused service WILL roll over ONLY if you manually renew or change your plan at least 24 hours before the end of your current billing cycle and ONLY if the new plan contains all the services that you previously had. For example, the minutes & data of your current plan will roll over if the new plan has minutes & data. However, if you decide to buy data only, the minutes will not roll over.

Thanks!
You can have autopay on, but you have to manually renew your plan if you want data to rollover. I just set a calendar reminder and renew the day before. Here is what the help center language says:
Unused service from your Tello plan will not carry over into your next month.

Quote Gatosano Thank you so much for this valuable information, just renewed one day before the auto-renewal date, as you mentioned, and got all the leftover data carried over to the new month. Just what I needed for a trip this month where will be using a lot more data than usual.
Thanks!

So this is wrong on Visible. There is no 5GB limit - perhaps author was confused with the 5Mbps speed limit of the Visible hotspot. Otherwise it is unlimited on the hotspot as well.

It works perfectly for us because she always has the data waiting when she arrives in the US. And I have been using referral dollars to renew each month.
Then use hello mobile. For $5 you get unlimited talk and text.

Also, since this is T-Mobile based, as is Mint, how's the visual voicemail situation on Pixels?
For those asking about Mint - service was fine for years until last month - note that rates go up after the intro period. Two weeks ago, all of my 5 gig was used in under an hour - the last gig in 8 minutes 😳. I've rarely used more than 1 gig/month in the entirety of those 3 years - customer service insisted I did, even after checking my phone's records and PROVING I didn't.
I called twice and they basically said, let me help you find a new carrier - not even joking. On top of that, visual voicemail stopped working and Google and mint are both claiming it's the others fault - since vvm works for every other carrier on the planet, pretty sure it's a mint problem.
After I transfer my service, it's off to the interwebs to write nastygrams to Ryan Reynolds and trash mint mobile.
