I see what you mean, but then YMMV should be added to the title of this post because when I change the location to my zip code it goes back to $27.37 (third party seller).
Reviews I'm seeing indicate the remote is IR (meaning fails when out of line of sight). I didn't know Roku made remotes like that. Not having to worry about line of sight was one of the nicer things I appreciated about my older Rokus.

Yeah the IR is their basic remote. If you get the "voice remote" it's the non-ir version! Which I think comes with streaming stick plus

This is a very small version of my larger Roku's. I was replacing a Roku 3 with many many hours on it. The higher quality AND much higher price of the 3 may be the reason I am disappointed. This is a 'special' Roku manufactured for Walmart and thus stripped down. The remote is similar to my other one but no microphone and no on/off button. It's pretty lightweight. This little version was more challenging to finally get to load and work. Once it was installed it went through 100 updates. Not joking. 100 (about 25 min). This baby Roku seems to have a close picture quality to my old Roku 3 but it has to 'load' every 'channel' application you've already got downloaded EVERY TIME you watch it. My other Rokus just immediately go to say Hulu home Page instantly. Not this little baby. It's only about 5-10 seconds but when you're used to instant. After installation it's slow but really worth the $18 versus $69 that I paid for the 3. Overall, if you can't afford a better more expensive Roku then this is definitely worth the price but don't expect allot of extras. Honestly reminds me of buying a no options base model car with no air, manual windows, etc. versus one with power seats, heated seats, gps, etc.

Better than nothing I guess.
The regular model is the 3920R.
I'd get a Streaming Stick+.
