Ugh. I want this but have spent so much money on Legos these past few weeks. I mean even more than usual… Plus I have yet to do any Xmas shopping.

I love Lego, but I can't believe how expensive they've become. I'd be really interested in the financials behind it - it's plastic, cheap! Not sure how much patents work into this model. I'm not bashing the deal, I just know Lego is making bank.

Our next door neighbor, when I was a kid, worked at a Lego factory. If a kit was missing even one piece, they tossed it into the discard pile - well, that's what I remember. He brought home all those kits, and we had endless Legos, boxes and boxes. Yeah, we had it good.

Anything licensed definitely has an upcharge included too that goes back to the license owner (Disney). Compare a set like the Saturn V to any Marvel or Star Wars set with the same number of pieces and it's a significant difference.

Tried, they said they can't do it because it's a sale price at Walmart.

Try again. Did Target change it's policy, recently? I've never had an issue. Ask for a supervisor.

If that fails, watch to see if other retailers match it (like Amazon), and then try a price match again.

There is nothing about excluding sale prices in their PM policy [target.com] (just clearance, liquidation, etc.). Ask them to point out the sale clause to you.

There's so many ill-trained agents, across the retail spectrum. It's really shocking. When I get even the slightest inclination they don't know their own policies, I either say "thank you, I'm disconnecting" (and chat back for a new rep), or ask for a supervisor.

I've has the same issue before and asked him to show me the policy. The rep sent that page, but when I asked him if he can point out the part that specifically says Target does not match sale prices, he copied and pasted the ENTIRE page. The rep then would just repeat Target does not match sale prices, only original listing price. When I pointed out the listing price is the MRSP, he said, yes, Target will only match original prices listed by approved competitors, lol.

Just FYI, the reps can see previous chats so there is a good chance they look back and they repeat/deny price matching like the previous rep. Price matching with Target has become a hit or miss for me.
