Except it wasn't for everyone. you know that. That like saying oh I got a rare 50% off coupon on everything and only available for one store. That's why you got thumb down. Surely you don't care. Heck why mention it.

The "sweet" deal is when everyone has the chance for new record LOW price hence this deal…so far. The $138 Series S deal from 12/14 from Walmart dot com was hot, lasting 5 minutes, and coupon not needed and factually available for all.

My friend works for Walmart and he got a better Series X deal than me, you, everyone else with the employee discount to make it $250. Lucky him.
It's $399 direct from Microsoft and you can get Microsoft gift cards 20% off pretty easily... Would make it $320 if you want to put in a smidge of effort.
What are you talking about? I see....

Xbox gift cards are 10% off every day all day and a $50 for $40 happens all the time (including right now). Not to mention that Microsoft will price match and has better click thru rebates. Also not counting the bing rewards points that many people have zillions of...

Around 250 it's the price I paid including taxes. How???...found someone willing to purchase one console at 350 + taxes. After that I spoke to a Dell representative to price match at 350. So I got 2 consoles totaling 749 including taxes, I just needed one console so I sold the other at 374.50. And got the 120 cash back from my American Express for spending 600+ at Dell plus 20 in points from Dell. So for 2 consoles 749-374.5(sold one)-120(amex cashback)= 254.50 TOTAL including taxes, AND I GOT 20 in points for spending at Dell as well.
Good for you. I ain't time for that extra hurdle.

No gr8 games on xbox, ps5 has the mkt share. Plus xbox lost much trust with their first online push couple yrs back so sony has goodwill and the games now.
You mean back in 2013? I'm not sure anyone still cares about that now.

Aside from Final Fantasy XVI and Spider-Man 2, all the PS5 exclusives are just re-releases of games I already played on a PS4.

Both Amazon and Walmart have it for $350. I'm trying to debate where to purchase it from. Lately I've had damaged products due to inadequate packing from Amazon(huge gaps for heavy items) and rough handling.

Both places will have it shipped to you... then again looking at the reviews most customers report to have it arrived in working condition. Any inputs?

If you truly care about having the painless option to return down the road, I suggest Walmart because with them, you can do either in store or via shipping. Amazon on the other hand, while speaking from my experience re: expensive high value item, require shipping.

That's true, though in my neck of the woods we have WholeFoods everywhere( in store Amazon returns), so it kind of evens it out. I'm just not sure if the packing will be any better or worse with Walmart. I guess I should flip a coin and mouse click away.

That leak is what drove me to buy a Series X back in October when I thought I was getting a deal for the new console + Starfield for about $430. Obviously, I should've waited. One of the YTers that I watch on occasion mentioned that he thought the FTC leak was real but outdated. To make a long story short, he thinks MS may be attempting to beat Sony to release on the next generation by a year or so. It worked really well for a prior generation and based on past release cycles, it wouldnt be out of the question. He had more reasoning too but I can't remember it all though I remember thinking that he made quite a bit of sense. If your interested, Im sure you could find it on YT. Author is JayWood2010.
I've heard others predict the same. Basically this gen is done for MS, so the idea of them trying something more "outlandish" isn't exactly that crazy. We'll see what happens, but I certainly think MS is going to need to do something beyond releasing a similarly powered console to Sony's in the same time frame. I haven't heard anyone predict 24 or 25 myself though. With current assumptions (based on leaks) that this gen would go tell 28, still plenty of time for a mid gen refresh.

There's no big incentive to get an xbox if you already have a ps5, right? Only personal reason is to play PoE on better graphics, but I'm basically buying it just for one game lol.
Xbox has far more exclusive games on the pipeline that PS. It's not even close.

IMO, The only reason to go with the PS5 is because you can't live without Spiderman or another of their exclusives or beacuse you prefer their controller.
