I picked this TV up a couple weeks back. Excellent blacks and colors. Football and basketball both look great as does Nintendo Switch (I know, not exactly the pinnacle of video game graphics). Love the picture.
nope you'd have to buy the geeksquad warranty which is worth every penny imo. if you do get burn-in within the geeksquad warranty period, they send someone to your home and check for the burn-in and give you your money back no questions asked, they don't waste your time if something does go wrong.
60fps still looks very smooth in gaming. Only time I wouldn't recommend it is if you were coming from a 120hz screen already. But personally coming from a 60hz TCL, I'd upgrade to this OLED TV over a non-OLED 120hZ.

Quote from bromains :
a2 every time no question. The Q60 line of Samsung has been one of the worst values for a TV for years.
If you're buying a Premium TV there's 2 features you pay for more than anything else.
Refresh Rate (Both TVs are the Lower 60hz)
Backlight, Q60C is Edge Lit (Aka the Worst closely compared to Direct Lit) and the A2 being OLED technically doesn't even have a backlight but OLED is TOP of the line in this category.

In other words in the 2 Categories that make a Premium TV Q60C is bottom of the line in both, and the A2 is top of the line Backlight/Panel Technology.

Also bought one of these last year for my old man as a bedroom TV and he loves it I've watched on it a couple times and my personal TVs are flagship OLEDS but i still think his has phenomenal picture even compared to them.

As someone who sells TVs as their profession (not commission based no reason to lie) I've watched so many people opt for a Q60 over tvs literally 10x better from other brands at the same cost JUST because people think "Oh it's a Samsung and it costs the same as these others so it's gonna be the same level of quality" It's honestly sad to see but Samsung has such a grip on the TV market (just over 20% in America) that people will assume it's name means quality but no other brand makes as many low quality TVs as Samsung. Don't get me wrong they also have very high quality TVs i don't mind recommending but without the knowledge buying a Samsung is basically like walking into a wolves den. and the Q60 line is literally the worst value of them all. you might as well just get a 7000 series.

If you really want a second option WORTH considering in the same price category.
TCL Q7 55 Inch for $500
Refresh Rate - 144hz in 2 ports, 120hz in the other 2
Backlight - Full Array Local Dimming 200-ish dimming zones. (Upper-middle tier backlight)

The color and just basic movie/tv watching will absolutely be better on the A2, the Q7 is bigger will handle Glare better and be the superior gaming choice.
Would you purchase the A2 Open Box - Good for $540 or wait for the C3 to drop in price when the C4 is released? Love the TCL as well, but the wall width can only fit 50" due to a window in the middle. For a Guest Room TV. Thanks!
