    They're no good for bikes and cars. Last year I bought 13 of them, 1 single one to test out and try, then 3 4 packs. They were okay at first for use for theft they would not send out notifications to anyone near it, but since those women on the news sued Apple saying men were using them to track them and lawsuits started coming out, now they notify anyone near it as fast as 5 minutes, letting them know they are being tracked. I put them in my vehicles, e-bikes, snowblower, lawnmower, now it's pointless because it will notify the thief, it also gives the thief the option to disable the AirTag.

    Wow, lame. I've always been interested in one for finding wallet but never pulled the trigger. Was going to buy though after seeing the idea about putting them on bicycles. Not so much now. That sounds really annoying if they are constantly telling you there's a tracking device, usefulness of anti-theft aside.

    Exactly, completely useless now. My friend would cut out a small part of his teenagers shoes under the insert and put one in so he could always find them when they weren't where they were supposed to be. Would also serve as a tracker incase your kids got snatched as the kidnapper would never think to ditch their shoes. They had a lot of great uses, but it only takes one person to ruin something for everyone.

    i still wouldnt say completely useless. remove t he speaker and hide it in your car and it will be hard for theft to locate it. they will know its in your car but depending how deep you hide it, they wont be able to find it without the chirp. thats how i have it in my cars. as for bikes if you can put it inside the frame disassembled it might be a route that would work

    Legit question: if I put this in my kids' backpack and take the speaker out, it's still going to send notifications to everyone near their backpack. Won't that freak out everyone in the school they walk by. "You're being tracked!"
