I clicked the link in my original post (which I copied from the Newegg page when I bought the cpu) and it now shows $349.99. I found the deal on the pcpartpicker.com website earlier today and clicked on the buy icon when I saw the $249 price. I just checked that site again and it now has gone up to $290.74, at memory.com. I have been checking on the prices two to three times a week, both here and on pcpartpicker. Not sure how any of this happened. Maybe I should go buy a lottery ticket.

I did receive an email with about 6 hours after the order informing me a shipping label had been created. I will post again when it is updated to reflect that it has shipped, which you would think would be tomorrow (crosses fingers).

When I hit the "Buy" link on pcpartpicker it opened directly to the Newegg page in my post, and before I put it in my cart there was a notice that over 500 other shoppers had it in their shopping cart as well. After I ordered it that information was no longer there. I wonder if any of them actually ordered it, if there actually were 500 others, or was that just a ploy to motivate a buyer into making a decision before it "sold out". Of course the big question is whether this is a scam just to show more sales in Q4 2023, before issuing a refund in Q1 2024. Time will tell.

is this really the best AMD CPU for games money can buy? because I have seen a few mobile sentrix combos which offer more FPS for a little bit more money, and you get DDR5 and PCIe5.

Updated the UPS tracker and found that it had shipped out today from Ontario, California, with a status of in transit as of 1:37 pm. Now lets see if it makes all the way across the country!
