I'm actually leaning towards this the 5900XT which has x2 the number of CPU cores. Even this 5900x still has 50% more CPU cores (12) and the benchmarks on actual work show the difference.
Not everyone buys CPU's just to play games. Some of us actually need more cores for threaded work so don't be so quick to say a component's discount doesn't have a place.

I vowed to always boycott Newegg, as they don't deserve my support with their craptastic CS...
Hopefully this deal comes up on prime day :'(
Edit: Not much worse on Amazon, $220! (For +$5, I don't have to deal with/support Newegg!)
