DEWALT 20V MAX Cordless Wet-Dry Vacuum, Tool Only (DCV580H)

Lowest price according to 3C. Decent vacuum, works well with a higher amp battery, like a flexvolt.

I had the old 18V and I have the corded version DCV581 and have had a different experience.

The 20v is one of my most used tools beat the crap out of it and I have never thought it was under powered. Sure my industrial 5 gallon one is stronger but that is what I expect.
In for one. Other vacuums may perform a little better, but I'm already in the Dewalt ecosystem. I can spend the extra .5 - 2 seconds to vacuum up a gallon of water if it means I don't have to buy an adapter to use the batteries I already own.
Seems like too much negative about suction power on this. And indeed project farm did a vac review and the dewalt didn't do well at all as far as suction power

I bought the one with the power cord. I never use the power cord because the battery works just as well and is so convenient.

It is quite underpowered. Its "OK" if already in the Dewalt Ecosystem. Use it for a quick vac of the car and what not. The original 18V had maybe 25% more power.

I've bought three (1gift) and have zero complaints nor regrets. I keep one in my motorhome and other by fireplace during winter to suck up wood chips and ashes that escape. I recommend it.

I believe the MSRP is ludicrous though.

Bought last time and already well into DeWalt ecosystem.
1) use it for cleaning out small fountains. vac has small capacity, so don't expect it to clean a lot
2) it does have a "blow" function if you move the tube to exhaust
3) it is def NOT strong and as strong as small handheld vac.
4) dumping water out is lame. DeWalt could've designed better pour out method for both wet/dry material

It's okay at $79, seems durable enough. Wireless wet vac convenience is the only reason I got it.

Anyone have direct comparison to the Ryobi one that goes on sale for $50?

These little vacs are great. There is a similar model that includes a plug in cord as well as on battery, which I highly recommend if you use this on worksites and forgot to bring your charger
