Warranty is 90 days. If you want to spend $290 more, the new 1TB version is $1600 on a Frontpage deal right now with 1 year warranty.

This is an open box. It isn't a certified Apple refurbishment so it doesn't come with the standard 1 year warranty.

This model was available for around the $1200-$1250 a couple of times:

Considering you can buy 1TB model for $1599, it makes no sense to buy a 512GB refurb at this price.
The first link you posted is a 14.2", which is a totally different size and not comparable. The 2nd at $1250 for this exact model was a barn burner frontpage deal with 94 thumbs up. Fair to say that this was worth posting at $1309.49, which is less than 5% more.

Here you go, fixed it for you.
1TB refurb was also available for $1399 not too long ago.
So, no it isn't worth it, IMO.

Microcenter has this model for $1349 Apple certified with a one year warranty, if you are near one of their stores.

Hmm, just bought the wife a 15" Air M2 16/512 for $1499.

Thinking this is definitely a better option, no? Any possibility that some of these are able to have Applecare+ added? Likely no, just thought I would ask.

She leaves everything open all the time...Photoshop, Lightroom, Chrome, Safari, etc, etc. Nothing I've said or done in the past has changed this and it won't change. That's just how she uses it, she won't close apps and rarely reboots. Obviously as much RAM as possible is the easy response, but overall this looks like the better deal vs the air?

Anyhow, she currently has a 16" Intel w/i7/32gig/512. It's slow, noisy and hot and I want to get her into Apple silicon for under $1500. Not interested in the much-lauded $1599 model on woot, since we have and will not cancel iCloud and don't see the 1tb worth an extra $300.

Better than 15" M2 Air 16/512?

Edit: can we just add the SquareTrade to this laptop? The 3-yr w/$75 deductible is $279, which seems fair to me.

Except that would make the SSD wear out sooner. If any of the NAND chip dies, the laptop is done for.
