LOL maybe it's because people OFTEN ask for opinions regarding two COMPARABLE AVRs and I give my opinion from personal experience!…….hmm I wonder why they ask!🤔

No, hypocritical is when someone continues to ask for "proof" yet never providing ANY "proof" of their own! 🤭
Lol. More excuses! 🤣🤣
Wait? So if we search all these threads over the years, we are going to find people instigating a conversation with YOU about what you think? Not YOU foisting your opinions on them? I highly doubt that.
Or is it you're FORCED to violate your own beliefs to satisfy them?! 😆
Just tell them sound is subjective. They won't hear what you hear, and don't concern themselves with what others think they hear. Done.

You said the Yamaha was more upfront and dynamic than Marantz. I said prove it. You can't. End of story.

lMAO that's hilarious so science is real with one thing but with others it's a colossal waste of time! 🤪

There is forum that uses science to list AVRs from "better" to worse that many people swear by.
People use those science benchmarks all the time to determine which COMPARABLE AVR is "better"!
That sure seems like "evidence" that shows they aren't the same.

If you disagree where is your "PROOF" that they are?

I must have missed your explanation how "blind tests" falls under science, how is that the case again? 🤔
"""I must have missed your explanation how "blind tests" falls under science, how is that the case again?""""

WOW!!!!! I think you're confusing SCIENCE with MATH.

"While mathematics provides the language and tools for expressing and analyzing scientific concepts, science relies on empirical evidence and experimentation to form and test hypotheses about the natural world."

"Blind testing is a SCIENTIFIC experiment in which the participants involved are 'blind' (unaware) to those details or facts that might influence them consciously or subconsciously to make biased decisions."

"Blinding is an important tool of the SCIENTIFIC method, and is used in many fields of research."

"The blind method is an important part of the SCIENTIFIC method, used to prevent research outcomes from being influenced by either the placebo effect or the observer bias. Blinded research is an important tool in many fields of research, from medicine, to psychology and the social sciences, to forensics"

I could go on and on… 🙄

Show us on the doll where SCIENCE touched you 😆

Yamaha Europe put out an interesting video for their 2021 Aventage line, explains the stylistic choice of the A8A.

My first AV receiver was an Onkyo Integra I purchased used, so yeah I'm nostalgic for aluminum faceplates with buttons, switches and levers. but overall I doubt the minimalist glossy black plastic front will matter much in the real world.

Onkyo, Pioneer, Marantz, & Denon AVRs have been bought out by Chinese companies and turned into garbage. Pretty much the only good AVR is from Yamaha.

Depends why you want to replace the 7010.
Contrary to common belief, a main difference would be their sound, they do not sound the same.
Yamaha will be more upfront/dynamic than Marantz. Whether you'll prefer that you would have to listen for yourself.

For me never cared for YPAO, always had issues with the sub signal coming out low also.
I definitely prefer XT32 but unfortunately the 7010 doesn't have access to Editor app or MultiEQ-X.

If you prefer Marantz and looking for a replacement.
If you are open to factory refurb from an authorized seller, AC4L has the Cinema 50 for $1349.

Cinema 40 is better comparison against A8A

LOL Yes I gave my OPINION to someones question, I didn't initiate any conversation.
This all started when YOU asked "I said prove it"! Facepalm
You keep claiming thats wrong OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER without any"proof"!!! Head Bang

As everyone can see the only one trying to persuade and influence people and foist their OPINION on everyone is YOU!

As the endless professional reviewers(that have said they don't sound the same) often say, go audition/listen for yourself to find out what you think and find the one that works best for you...."sound" advice imo! Wink5 Exit Right
"Yes I gave my OPINION to someone"

But WHY??
You already stated over and over that your philosophy is sound is purely subjective and you don't care what other people hear or what they think!
So WHY are you backsliding on your own principles and telling people anything? They WON'T hear what you hear and why is your OPINION any more valuable than any of the others that you say don't matter and that may be the total opposite of yours ? Why? It's pure hypocrisy. How you can't see that is astounding!

Thread after thread, you CAN'T RESIST foisting your baseless totally subjective SOUND opinions on people. Then you say listen for yourself. Someone then posts their OPINION that is as, if not MORE, valuable as yours and you start the ball rolling down the hill with "I disagree"…. Blah blah blah. It's classic YOU. It all right there in black and white. Crazy.
