I would say don't buy the Dirac Live, but do use a little money to design your space. Sound deadening paitings, heavy curtains versus window blinds, throw rug versus tile floor, that kind of thing. Sound correction was made as many people were unable or didn't have time to properly correct their settings to make the adjustments needed after they correct their space. The problem, in my opinion, is that people want to buy something like this and just throw it in any space and it will sound amazing. Not true. It will sound the best it can for that space, even if it means turning down your front speakers dramatically for the best non-reflective sound. So it might just be that you need to check out your space and see what might be reflecting or causing issues. Almost and hard surface or if the rear port is too close to a wall, etc. Check out online forums like AVS for guides/help. Your current setup might open up a lot once you examine and change your space. I hope this helps and is all just one person's opinion.

I don't need the extra two channels, nor can i use 120Hz yet. After that, Dolby Atmos is dolby atmos, it hasn't changed.

I would probably go with Emotiva A2 this time, if I go down the path of amp.
A friend of mine paired Outlaw 5000 with his Denon X3700 and that Outlaw was a beast weighing 50 lbs
I purchased, the Outlaw Audio 2220 to power my center power hungry Magnepan CC5 and have been satisfied with the purchase, especially at this price point. I would definitely add 2 more to power the fronts if my XPA-2 ever croaks.
I have been hard pressed to justify any upgrade for 120/144Hz passthrough when technically i don't need it, because eARC is a thing.

NO ONE is talking about OPINIONS of pro reviewers.
In a double blind listening test, people with normal hearing are asked to say whether they HEAR any difference. ANY DIFFERENCE. They may be asked if they PREFER one or the other, BUT GUESS WHAT? To have a PREFERENCE means they HEARD a difference. Their actual preference is irrelevant. We're not trying to discern which they PREFER in this test.
They listen to A, then A, then B, A, B, B, B, A, A, A, etc. Totally random. Not just back and forth. IF they hear anything, it should match 100%. Anything else is CHANCE.
When It comes to comparable AVR's with their spices…err, I mean tone controls set to flat, people cannot tell them apart. At least it's never been proven.
Anyone telling you that Marantz AVR's sound "warm" is lying. Pure and simple.
Well, until they PROVE IT 🤣
Proving it doesn't mean adjusting its natural sound with tone controls. Duh 🙄
