Save classico jars for those who do canning. Only pasta sauce jars I know of that fit Ball jar lids and work for canning.

With the way Amazon packs things, this seems like a disaster waiting to happen

Recently saw a blind comparison that rated Classico sauces in the top tier. I tend to use them as a decent starter, with seasoning, and other ingredients, to taste. That said, ALDI's are pretty good. Sorry, but my tests of higher priced, pre-made, sauces have not warranted the premium prices. Given the raves, maybe I should at least give Rao's a try. $8 for pasta sauce? Hard to justify. $2.05 for Classico is reasonable, though, if you watch your local ads, it can regularly be found under $2, and sometimes at $1.50. I like adding a little ground beef, and pepperoni to their tomato basil.

$1.79 at ralphs with digital coupon. Limit 5 though. Literally just got some when I was out. I agree with the comments on the glass jar they come in. I use them for draining grease/fat since they are a nice size

Everyone has different tastes. Yet personally I would recommend getting the organic sauce from Aldi. It is around $2 and in my opinion it tastes better than Rao's
Raos? Id like to know how much this company pays to get favorable reviews?

Bought 5 of these at a Colorado Kroger (King Soopers) for $1.50 each. Maybe if you live in Alaska or Hawaii these are a good deal.
Past tense...... bought.

Welcome to 2024. No guarantee you will see it again.

I love how everyone has a hot tub time machine 😂

Spend the extra $4 and get Rao's, trust me. Night and day difference between it and these terrible budget pasta sauces. Or at least get one that has whole peeled tomatoes versus tomato paste and real spices versus powders/extracts.

Classico for years said this...
"Can I reuse the Classico jar for home canning?" No. A coating is applied at the glass plant to reduce scratching and scuffing. If scratched, the jar becomes weaker at this point and can more easily break.

However that has been removed so use at your own risk.

i bought a 3 pack the other day at costco for like $8; came out even more expensive because one of them was cracked inside the plastic seal too. i blame myself for not checking ahead, and came home to a mess of pasta sauce in the car.

so yeah cant even imagine what amazon does to it - these days they dont even use boxes anymore (which i dont mind for some items)

that looks like a Target package based on the logo on the safety tape.

Bought these yesterday. The sale is going on still. These go on sale <$2 all the time at my grocery stores. I live in an area that has slightly above average grocery prices.

I don't know who keeps thumbing up these Amazon grocery deals. You'd have to live in an area with ridiculously expensive groceries for this to be a good deal.
