This printer is part of an ongoing promotion that doesn't seem to have a dedicated page.
Receive 30% Amazon Promotional Credit (up to $100) On Select Printers [amazon.com]
Not all printers have this promotion. You must receive a notice at checkout about "Qualifying Offers" for a listed "Promotional Credit."
Even though the promo credit is limited to $100, some printers are almost never on sale. This is a rare chance to receive an offset for buying certain printers.
The above link is for a search query with these parameters:

Epson has pushed out firmware updates that will completely lock out printing if it detects non-OEM ink. Research it. Lots of unhappy customers.
Same with HP and their non-tank printers -- fixed to not print if you use non-HP ink.

Everyone seems to be talking good about brother which I never owned other than an old fax machine in the past.

Each OEM toner costs $50-$100, and a color laser printer needs 4 toners to work.
Brother Genuine TN229XLC Cyan High Yield Printer Toner is $97 for example.

This one is the best budget for sublimation printing. I use it for that purpose and use many different brand inks.
That's what I bought it for too as a birthday present for my wife. Glad to hear it works well.
Best thing I did was setup a reminder on my Amazon Echoes to tell me to print a test page every Wednesday at 8pm.
I've got a 2 year old Epson ET-4700 that started printing like crap over a year ago. Would periodically try cleaning it and even bought a kit off eBay that was supposed to unclog it. I had pretty much given up and even bought a cheap Canon to use.
I saw in some forum where they mentioned the Epson power cleaning. It's not in the maintenance settings on the printer it directs you to an Epson website that warns about doing it and gives you instructions on how to get to power cleaning on the printers control panel.
I did it waited the required 12 hours and did a test print and my printer that was pretty useless for over a year was back in business.

For 249 it's refurbished , new one is 349
Usually the new printers come with starter toners. If you don't print a lot, they can last some time though…
