Overall, all-in-one units are amazing in their convenience and efficiency, but they introduce some new quirks that you do need to get used to. I personally don't think i can ever go back to any other type of unit.

For folks wondering about their status updates, I had been informed that it would be delivered yesterday, but there was no status change on the website. I had to call LG the prior morning, and they made sure to deliver as scheduled.
We washed and dried 5 loads since yesterday under the Wash + Dry AI setting. All loads have taken between 2:45 and 3:00 hours to dry.
The two hour claim says it was run with a 10 lb load.
I didn't weigh our loads, but don't imagine that it was more than 10 lbs.
That being said, we are okay with it, and it fits our needs. With our old washer and dryer, we spent between 2:00 and 2:30 hours total to wash and dry. The convenience balances this out for us.
The clothes were well washed and dried, and the machine was easy to remove the lint, program, load soap, etc.
I'm sure it will require that we don't let the laundry pile up for weeks at a time, but that's a welcome adjustment for us.
We'll be keeping it, it works great. Just not as great as advertised.
This LG unit offers so many advantages for our family which includes a handicap and incontinent individual for which we frequently do laundry for. So far the advantages I see are:
1- Total wash and dry time will be less than done separately AND without the need to transfer. From a practical standpoint, how often do you immediately transfer from washer to dryer to get the total time under 3 hours? So even though some may find a 2.5-3.5hr total clean time cumbersome, I find this to be a blessing.
2- For us, this unit provides ample real estate (5.0 cu ft) for our laundry. We are currently working with a mini washer (1.7 cu ft) since our old washer (only 3.0 cu ft) conked out in spring 2022.
3- This LG unit has a self clean feature for the coils vs the GE Profile. This alone should prove to be an invaluable feature for long term durability.
4- These washer dryer combo units remove the problem many front load washers face with mold/mildew since the moisture is removed by the drying feature. (Although this LG unit does not have any advertised antimicrobial coating like the GE Profile unit).

Like you, combining wash and dry time, plus the time to transfer, albeit short, makes a negligible difference in time for us. The savings on electricity, space, and all other perks outweigh that relatively easily.
We also appreciate the size as well. Supposedly its meant to handle a king size comforter, which is plenty for our family of four.
Finally, I'm really looking forward to not dealing with mold because of the dryer. Despite being religiously OCD about moisture in our old unit, it continued to develop mold.
Mold prevention is probably my #1 reason to buy one of these new heat pump combo units.
Also on the detergent holder it looks like you can repurpose the softener to also be detergent if you prefer which is great as we do not use softener. Do you know if you can store 2 different types of detergent and select during wash cycle which one to use?
Lastly the manual says you need the machine to be 4" from the wall vs the GE says 0". As long as hoses are not being crushed, is there any technical reason this needs to be 4" from the wall?
Tub is warm/hotter side after all is done. Honestly even more hotter than I'd expected compared to my lg gas dryer. I suspect it's because there's no cool down while there's one for the gas lg.
Delivery was smooth but I went to level the legs this morning and noticed it was slightly off and lock nuts were not tight for both the pedestal and washer. I will try to post a review on YouTube or Reddit.

Here is a great video that adds more details about this model: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AkDmyL
My laundry room has to be reworked a bit to fit the depth of the newer front load washers so i have to carve out space.
Overall we like the washer.
