I've had a unit like this for the past 12 years. The big positive, is being able to put a load in to wash and dry before leaving for work (or going to sleep) and having it done by the time I'm back. The negative - it takes 3-5 hours for a load to go through wash and dry. I dont recall this ever being an issue for me, as we dont typically have anything that needs to be washed and dried quickly - but thats something to keep in mind when considering this machine

Do you have a unit with an actual heat pump? Lg and other brands have sold other models that don't use heat pumps. They use a cooling plate powered by water which causes it to take much longer to dry. I have one of those units as well, and i agree its not for everyone cause if you need something dried fast or just cleaned fast its just not going to happen. But the heat pump based units are much faster (wash and dry in 2-3 hours). Slightly slower than a traditional drier . But pretty darn close in my opinion and no need to move the close saves you some time as well(unless you need to take things out of the drier to air dry). The other big change that takes people a bit to get used to that all ventless units have is that they build up humidity in the machine. When you open it up once the cloths is done the cloths will almost feel a bit moist. This is just cause the air in the chamber is a bit humid. But it does confuse people the first time around.

Overall, all-in-one units are amazing in their convenience and efficiency, but they introduce some new quirks that you do need to get used to. I personally don't think i can ever go back to any other type of unit.

I have been using the GE Profile all in one for the last couple of months and it takes about 2 hours for a full load. These newer models use heat pumps to generate hot air. Older models of all in ones used a different technology. Check and see what yours is. May explain why it takes so long.

Just ran another small load today and I stopped it manually after 7 hours - everything was still wet.

Honestly I don't even want to deal with a fix - this is going to get returned (if possible). I'm sure I'll have to fight, but for $2k this is ridiculous.

Something is not right, must be a faulty unit. I'd unplug it for a minute or two, plug it back in, open ThinQ app and run Smart Diagnosis found under Useful Features, see what it detects. Sorry about that!

I ran the Diagnosis with no findings, but I haven't power cycled it. I guess I'll try that next

That's no good. Mine arrived yesterday and I've run a normal load of clothes through and then a load of 3 towels ( both AI Wash Dry ), first finished in just under 2 hr, and the towels took maybe 2 hrs 30 mins. Loads were warm to the touch ( as with my previous 240v electric dryer ) and completely dry when it finished. I can hear it "gurgling" every few (5?) minutes on the dry cycle as it pumps extracted water back down the drain.
Can you hear that happening on the dry cycle with yours and if you stop the cycle are the clothes warm/hot at all?

Yep, am thinking that something is wrong. I have thd GE profile and the longest cycle was 3 hours (usually takes just over 2). Couple of thing to note. 1. These don't work well when overloaded 2. Works better if the clothes are of similar weights eg mixing a towel with shirts may cause the towel to remain damp. 3. Make sure the lint filters are clean.

I do hear gurgling from time to time. And the clothes are definitely hot when I stop it - and so is the top right of the unit; I guess that makes it sound like the condenser isn't doing the job.

Costco has these available now for those who prefer the Costco appliance approach. $1999.
Now $1899@Costco. The 3 year Allstate (making 5 years total) is only $119 and would seem like a no brainer. It's a Costco Direct item so if you buy something else with red direct tag you get $100 off the total as well. But then again sounds like some of you got some crazy cash back on top of better price from LG Partner site.

There is a learning curve that needs to happen, but it sounds like more than that possibly? When the GE first came out there were some crazy comments, like time and that "heat pump sheen" that stayed on clothes for a few minutes, but this seems beyond that. Maybe not. But why I'm sitting on the fence for awhile

Just ran the 'tub clean' cycle (no clothes in it) which purports to "clean and dry the inside of the washer". When finished, there was a ton of water still in it. Obvious that there's a problem with this unit.

Question: how's the noise levels during extreme spin cycle for those that have this?

Ran 10 loads since I got mine last week. I noticed there's a constant rattle on coming from the right side during the fast spin cycle (default on ai wash and dry).

Rattle stops when I put a light force on the side panel. Seems like screws or insulation but the spin itself is loud and shakes the unit. Unit is leveled and legs secured on ground and pedestal

Lol. Can't believe I didn't read about that earlier. And I'm old enough to have a yahoo account I use occasionally. Time to start checking the CC and CB rebates
Any chance you would "share" your login with me. I want to pull the trigger on this unit

I'm running into the same situation. I tried running a VERY small load of 8-10 pieces of clothing. Shirts, boxers, socks and similar. Each time it's taken 7-8 hours before I stop it manually. The experience that pushed me over the edge for a return was this one... I started a small load at 6pm, washing went fine. Dry time kept being extended by 4 minutes or 12 minutes. This continued to happen for several hours. I finally went to bed and figured it would finish overnight. I woke up the next morning and it was still running. Drying went on for 13 hours total before I finally stopped it manually.

I'll give phone support credit for trying to help me troubleshoot the issue, however in many cases they don't even know about this combo unit existing. You end up having to explain the product to them. One rep asked me if the installers checked the system after installation. I told him that they started a wash cycle and that it seemed to run fine. He said "then why are you trying to return the item?" I had to explain that the installers didn't stick around for 4 hours to make sure the dryer also worked.

Last but not least, the return process is painful. Each of the two departments involved ping-ponged me back and forth swearing that they could not process the return and that the other department would take care of it. I probably spoke with 10 reps in the process. Finally, the last rep I spoke to said I needed to email the returns department. I did that two days ago. So far... zero response.

Today I finally gave up hoping for a response and opened a dispute with my credit card company. I took screenshots of the invoice and return window policy to submit to my CC company.

For those of you that got working units, that's great. I wish that had been my experience. For those on the fence I hope my experience might be helpful in managing expectations.

I've been running the LG for about a week now. Most loads are 2 hours using ai wash and dry and everything is bone dry.

People having issues have some sore of issue with the machine, maybe shipping bolts not removed or something else.

How full a load of clothes are you doing? Has it done well with a full load of towels?
