Overall, all-in-one units are amazing in their convenience and efficiency, but they introduce some new quirks that you do need to get used to. I personally don't think i can ever go back to any other type of unit.

Honestly I don't even want to deal with a fix - this is going to get returned (if possible). I'm sure I'll have to fight, but for $2k this is ridiculous.

Can you hear that happening on the dry cycle with yours and if you stop the cycle are the clothes warm/hot at all?

There is a learning curve that needs to happen, but it sounds like more than that possibly? When the GE first came out there were some crazy comments, like time and that "heat pump sheen" that stayed on clothes for a few minutes, but this seems beyond that. Maybe not. But why I'm sitting on the fence for awhile

Ran 10 loads since I got mine last week. I noticed there's a constant rattle on coming from the right side during the fast spin cycle (default on ai wash and dry).
Rattle stops when I put a light force on the side panel. Seems like screws or insulation but the spin itself is loud and shakes the unit. Unit is leveled and legs secured on ground and pedestal

I'll give phone support credit for trying to help me troubleshoot the issue, however in many cases they don't even know about this combo unit existing. You end up having to explain the product to them. One rep asked me if the installers checked the system after installation. I told him that they started a wash cycle and that it seemed to run fine. He said "then why are you trying to return the item?" I had to explain that the installers didn't stick around for 4 hours to make sure the dryer also worked.
Last but not least, the return process is painful. Each of the two departments involved ping-ponged me back and forth swearing that they could not process the return and that the other department would take care of it. I probably spoke with 10 reps in the process. Finally, the last rep I spoke to said I needed to email the returns department. I did that two days ago. So far... zero response.
Today I finally gave up hoping for a response and opened a dispute with my credit card company. I took screenshots of the invoice and return window policy to submit to my CC company.
For those of you that got working units, that's great. I wish that had been my experience. For those on the fence I hope my experience might be helpful in managing expectations.
People having issues have some sore of issue with the machine, maybe shipping bolts not removed or something else.
