  • Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
    • A disgruntled Kyle Katarn has lost his faith in the Jedi Way, and has fallen back into his early days as a simple Mercenary. But there is no escaping destiny, as Katarn's path will cross him with the Dark Jedi Desann. Katarn must reconnect with The Force if he has any hope to stop Desann's plan, with the entire galaxy at stake.
  • Star Wars Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy
    • The final installment for the Jedi Knight saga, Jedi Academy puts us in the shoes of Jaden Korr, a fully customisable character and Kyle Katarn's protégé at the new Jedi Academy on Yavin IV. Man, my 900 Mhz Athlon II blew that sonofabitch out of the water. That would have been such a flex for me. Until 2 years later when tech was moving so fast that it would be completely outdated. Jedi Knight ran like crap on my 90 Mhz Pentium btw. In case that's a consideration for anyone.
I've seen people nostalgic for how fast tech advanced in the 90s and 00s. It just seems annoying and expensive. Lol

That time frame is modern era for PC gaming. We started gaming in 1994 on a blazing fast Pentium 90 with DOS and resetting ports to avoid conflicts between the sound card and the video card. In October of 1995 I was searching for a game online and I found a used copy of the game for a really low price on this place called EBay —so I became a member to bid on it. Today I have been a member of EBay longer than anyone else in the world as far as anyone can tell.
You're an eBay OG if you remember paying account fees by sending checks to texas. Lol

Anyone play these on the Steam Deck?

Played through all of Dark Forces and Jedi Knight and part of Mysteries of the Sith on Steam Deck.

Was a 10/10 experience out of the box with a community layout for the controls (I just picked the highest rated one)

With inflation, they were pretty pricey still.

Man, I thought I was holding a record as being a registered seller since 2000. Not even a photo finish as you beat me by half a decade Wink

Yea I actually coined the word "sniper" (that I think people still use today on EBay)when I lost out at the last millisecond on an auction for a rare Nintendo N64 system just before Christmas. In those days of 28.8 kbps modems it was really unfair if you lived on the east coast because EBay was in CA so by the time you saw you had lost an auction with a tiny fraction of a second left — it was too late. Other sites (like what later became Newegg) always added a new 5 minute bidding round if any bid came in during the last minute of an auction. So on the EBay "lounge" board I ranted against the EBay system that favored last second "snipers" who could bid in the last millisecond because they lived so much closer to EBay's servers. That term really took off for many years because so many people agreed with my point
