FYI, this CSX model with drone capability (phone start), was $280 1 year ago is lowest it's been according to previous SD posts.

The lowest the DC3 CS4905S-KIT ( aka non-CSX model) has ever been is $220, which was a day October 2023, which I got installed on my 2014 Toyota Sienna. It's been fantastic.

The non-CSX version doesn't get lower than this price though, but often dips down to $250. Make sure you order with the free harness though when you place the order. The guy told me so many times people don't do that and they have to reschedule the install and charge for it.

Here was lowest price for the non-CSX 2 remotes, 3+ mo ago in October. Just a data point if you're wondering how this price compares for premium drone capability.

I bought this last year for my 2016 Ford Expedition but the best buy techs could not get it programmed with my OEM keys despite the fact that the computer website confirmed my make/model was compatible. Very disappointing.

last week I bought the non LTE version

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/comp...Id=6269220

now I would like to cancel it and buy this LTE version as both are same price.

So the old fob keys wont work at all right

Do any one know if it is a key start model, will the manual keys still work ?

Do we need to carry two key fobs then? One for remote start and one to start the car to drive it?

Can you elaborate? Is this a known issue with this particular unit?

We bought a couple of these in Sept for $170, on my niece's Total Tech membership.
Mine is still in my console in the box.

My daughter uses hers. She likes that she doesn't have to take her keys into work as she uses her phone to unlock the car.

My old car has no factory remote key or fob. Only the basic key. Could this still be used to add the remote lock unlock and remote start function?
Does it have electric power locks? If yes, then you can add remote lock and unlock.

Is it fuel injected, rather than carbureted? Then it can be wired for remote start.

The old key fobs still work. They even programmed my factory key fob so that I hit the lock button 3 times and it starts the car.

Thanks for the info. How do you make sure that it comes with the free harness?
It should show up in your order when checking out

Anyone that is on the fence about the LTE, I have this same model on my car and love it with LTE. In Wisconsin I only have to pay for the really cold months so it's not bad, and it uses AT&T towers so coverage is pretty good on it. If your parking at work is far away, or if you park in parking garages (at least it has worked the 3-4 times I have been in that situation), the LTE is worth every penny. Or coming back from a flight somewhere, shopping at a mall, etc, being able to start it from anywhere is a REALLY nice feature.

The range on the remote is otherwise about the same as my 2017 F150 factory remote start (have the Compustar/Drone on another car). The LTE works WAY better than the garbage Ford app (free), and from what I have seen better than the Chevy app (paid).

As far as battery drain, the app shows you your voltage so you can keep an eye on it. I haven't noticed any issues with it draining to fast. Have had the car sit for a few weeks once and it was still solid. If your car sits for weeks at a time or you have a bad battery I'm sure it could cause issues. But not having this remote start in those situations also have problems.

In for 1… have the non LTE version in one car and like it. Been wanting one for the other car too, since this is almost same price as the regular one seems like a good deal. The LTE service costs between $3-$6 / month depending on how long you buy it for
Can you add in your own SIM card or you have to use the one provided. Basically I'm asking if I can add in a Google Fi data only sim card, which I doubt you have tried, but maybe someone else might have?

update:
someone answered my question (page 5) and it's a No

If installed correctly then it's no problem in the cold. Maybe he had a weak battery
