Flood their account deletion team. If they are unable to process the onslaught of account deletion requests as stipulated by the CCPA, they are subject to fines of $2,500 for each account.
Anyone that created an account for this, put in an account delete request here: Privacy Web Form https://privacyportal.o After you select your state, it will prompt what type of request you are making. Select "Delete My Account and/or Personal Information" I'd suggest adding a reason along the lines of "I've lost confidence in Applebee's data handling based on the Date Night promotion technical errors" Source: This is linked from the footer of the Applebee's site. Obviously, if you already had an account with rewards points, don't do this if you want to keep them. |

Subject: Complaint about Applebee's Date Night Promotion
Dear Applebee's Customer Service, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the recent Date Night promotion offered by Applebee's. As a loyal customer, I was eagerly looking forward to participating in this event, only to be left utterly disappointed by the way it was handled. The promotion, which was advertised to offer a special Date Night experience, sold out in less than two minutes, leaving many genuine customers, myself included, unable to secure a reservation. What was particularly frustrating was the apparent lack of safeguards against bots and unfair practices that may have contributed to this rapid sell-out. It is unacceptable that Applebee's did not implement any measures to ensure that genuine customers had a fair chance of participating in the promotion. The lack of safeguards against bots and automated purchasing systems seems to have allowed unfair advantages to certain individuals or entities, resulting in genuine customers being left out. As a long-standing patron of Applebee's, I expected better from a company that prides itself on providing a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for its customers. The swift sell-out of the Date Night promotion, coupled with the absence of protective measures, has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. I urge Applebee's to review its promotional strategies and implement stronger safeguards to prevent such situations from recurring in the future. Genuine customers should have an equal opportunity to benefit from these promotions without the fear of being edged out by unfair means. I trust that Applebee's will take this matter seriously and take appropriate steps to address the concerns raised. As a loyal customer, I sincerely hope that the company will use this feedback to improve its approach to promotions and ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all customers. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to a prompt and satisfactory resolution. Sincerely, [Your Name] |

You have to order regular menu items. No promotions. I expect
1 appetizer - $15
2 entrees - $40
2 soft drinks - $5
Total around $60. With the $30 pass discount, the meal will cost $30+tax+ tips

I stroll into this fine establishment, ready to enjoy a delightful meal. Now, I'm a generous soul, so I start by placing a crisp $5 bill on the table for our waiter. But here's the twist – every time our dear waiter fumbles or makes a misstep, I deduct a dollar from the initial tip. It's a bit like a performance review, you see. They get rewarded for excellent service, but, ah, they feel the consequences for any slip-ups.

My guess is 25,000......I'm curious to see how the ebayers and bots alike are going to gravitate towards this.

Then it turns out that the commenter later said, well, it was the cheeseburgers plus multiple appetizers plus a drink. That wasn't what he originally said. That makes sense with the cost but the original comment didn't, even in high cost areas. So that's why there was a "lie".
Just did pickup order no extras.
1 large combo appetizer
2x bacon cheeseburgers.
Subtotal
$59.47
Taxes
$5.27
ORDER TOTAL
$64.74
This is without tip. 10% discount on the 59.47 is almost $6.
So $58.74 before tip.
11.26 tip about 18%. With all the servers here saying better give 20% cause I make $2/hr. That 18% is still less than the 20-25 that is cried about.
$70.00.

My wife and I could easily go out and spend $30 on a meal before our 5 year old was born.
In fact, we spent $80 at Olive garden one night and we had quite a few drinks.
I'm done with these gimmicks. I can't imagine spending $60 at Applebee's for 2 people, and I won't fall for the movie pass model again. Before you know it, they'll tell you that you can only use it between 2-5pm
