I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

Spectrum received one of my trade-in devices on 2/2 and was supposed to be reviewed by 2/6. I sent an email asking status after that and was told to wait 10-15 days. I sent another email after 15 days and was told the person would contact the warehouse. After a few more days, I contacted back again, stating it had not been resolved, and Assurant agent said they would send me a check for the check.

Just adding here, because I have not read anyone having this happen yet.
assurant screwed up my trade in and revised it as a lower model. i got the generic "sent to warehouse" e-mail after one day but have not heard back for several days and they have not responded to any further e-mails. i went ahead and accepted the revised offer because the return window on the new device was closing and i wanted to make sure that the credit went through before it closed. i wonder if i should keep pressing assurant to see if they will refund me the difference.

Same boat. Trade in delivered a week ago and got that same "delay" response. My trade in processed today.... so I will have credit on my account tomorrow which will be refunded as soon as I chat in.

During the pixel 8 Pro promo, they screwed up my trade in and I went via the State attorney general's office and got my credit and they sent me a check for the full amount.

It was quick in 3-4 days
Did you file the complaint on Spectrum or Assurant? Thinking of going down this route since they lost my return shipment and have provided no assistance.

Spectrum and Assurant both as your order was placed on Spectrum and Assurant is a vendor for Spectrum. Your order is not directly placed to Assurant .. so make both guys defendants.. "Quote like they are kicking the ball at each other in the case of support/ assistance. "

I ordered online and today i received confirmation from Assurant for trade-in acceptance. I wanted to see if they will also revert taxes paid upfront for the new device.

I traded in iphone 7 plus for S24 on my account. Usually when this is done in store, major part of taxes are offset by trade in promotion amount and only pay difference for new device. State: TN as it may be state dependent.

Data point regarding revised trade in:

Had no issues last year doing online order and mail in with Assurant for upgrade to S23.

Had no issues placing and receiving online order this year for S24. Mailed tradein to Assurant and was received by Assurant after about a week. Processed next day. Received notice from Assurant for revised trade in with lower storage. Correct device but wrong storage.

E-mailed Assurant same day. Next day received response that they would forward inquiry to warehouse. No response for 24 hours. Sent follow-up e-mail. No response for 24 hours. Sent another follow-up e-mail. No response for 24 hours.

Decided to just accept the revised offer that afternoon because return window for Spectrum was closing and wanted to make sure credit processed. Accepted offer on website. Credit did not appear on my account next day. Called and they said no credit on account yet. Today credit appeared on account. Called Spectrum for credit refund and first agent for some reason said had to wait 1-2 billing cycles. Called back and second agent sent refund.

Might continue to pursue the difference or file BBB complaint. Will see how I feel later if it is worth the headache.

TLDR: Assurant is a terrible company with regards to properly processing trade ins and offers inadequate customer service to resolve incorrect assessments within Spectrum return timeframe. Please be careful sending any higher storage models of devices to Assurant unless you are prepared for them to falsely claim lower storage model. That being said, if you accept their revised offer on the website the credit processed within a couple of days.
Update: I decided to give one last ditch effort to Assurant and send a fresh e-mail regarding my issue. Rather than replying to previous e-mail I just sent new e-mail stating the issue again and requesting the difference. Received a response from the same customer service agent who forwarded my original issue to warehouse saying that the warehouse confirmed the correct model and they are submitting request for check to be issued for difference.

Hoping things go smooth from here with the check. Just wanted to follow-up to give additional data and hope for those dealing with Assurant. Not sure why I did not receive response to my messages from the last several days or automatic response when confirmed by warehouse. Obviously what is most stressful is just having such a big credit on the line and only a 14 return window with Spectrum.

Spectrum killed the value of the S24 line. S24s on secondary market are already selling for nearly 20% lower price than the S23 line even in the middle of last year. Imagine how much value will tank in 60 days when people who hoarded these unlock and dump.

Curious to see if they extend the deal out for several months like they did last year. People might regret rushing to the store to get their accounts banned this month.
Banned? Lol. Quit grand standing and act like you know what you're talking about.

The folks who were here during last years s23 and flip 5 promtiom cycles know the routine is the same for s24 now
Haven't gotten banned yet after 10 phones now and making money.

90% of the recent messages and conversation are talking about people who are getting banned. You are kidding yourself if you think people are not getting banned or that anybody believes your nonsense.

Maybe banned is not the correct term. Can you answer why so many saying they are not allowed to upgrade at the store?

Just to update my case status for reference. I haven't done anything prior to this conversation to the supervisor regards to my order being cancelled and I even got an email afterward saying my order is cancelled. Now out of the blue today, I received an order confirmation of my order being shipped, and had a pending charge on my CC. Now, I wonder how the system is going to credit my trade in promo credit given that normally, they charge my device first, then once they get my trade in and approves it, the credit should reflect in couple days. Now, since they already approved the trade in credit back in 2/7 (never got the credits back to my account). Wonder if this will make it difficult to get instant credit, else I'm just going to return the device unopen and eat the lost of the trade in which I had originally planned.

TLDR: Pre-Ordered 1/29, shipped trade in (inspected and approved), phone never shipped till today 2/28/24, spoke to rep/supervisor around middle of 2/20 ish saying order somehow got cancelled. Now the order is being shipped out of the blue. Spectrum system is sh*t in terms of communicating with each other, no one know what is going on and just throw stories to cover their assess.
Just a followed up to my original post regards to "what happen when your trade in credit when it gets approved way before your phone shipped". So right now, after my phone is delivered. There is a "Your credit of $xxx.xx will be applied to next month's bill", this bill credit normally appears on my statment balance but is not visable. So not sure if spectrum has changed their way to refunding credits now by dragging the billing cycles. or it could be because their original amount they charged for the phone is still pending on my CC. Anyone have any idea?

Someone mentioned before, phones bought in store, trade-in promotion credited to the account, but not displayed on the account for the customer, somehow only associates can see that credit. May be that's the case with your situation too?

Just came back from the store and did Moro Razr + trade-in. to S24+

also trade in two S24 for two S24 +

No question asked the store manager helped me out and out in 20 minutes.

Still, my account is not locked or banned.

Note I did the upgrade on all 3 lines. and credit is already in the account. Though the store manager pointed out that he could replace 2 phones, I simply replied that do not want to pay restocking fees and boxes come with it, those I am not carrying the boxes that come with it.

Note:: From the Store manager's talk I am thinking that they are going to extend the trade-in program till the end of March.
He told me they have too much stock of S24 and variants and they are going to get by next Monday 512 GB versions too if I am not in a hurry.

Google what the word "banned" means.... new account... I'll wait.

Everyone can still do the online trade if their account got flagged.

Let me know what you learned today about the word "banned" and add it to your morning affirmations in the mirror?

I got the same feeling today too when I was chatting my regular salesperson trading in another s24 for the 24+. Probably going to extend. I didnt ask about the larger size coming in stock but that would be awesome to continue this trade in rodeo.
