I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.

No you just insert the sim back in when asking for unlock.

The sim doesn't need to stay the whole 60 days.
It should be the same SIM the device came with or active SIM on the line need to be inserted?

since the device came with eSIM when you bought it, that eSIM is no longer valid as soon as you transfer to another phone on the account. Now, you must transfer eSIM back into the original device for it to show up on the account. You should be able to transfer eSIM in the account portal.

I unlocked my 2 phones via chat today without any issue. I tried to port one of the number into Metro for a Iphone 12 deal but it doesn't work. I tried it again and Metro said the number is no longer available for porting.

I also flashed the unlocked image successful but saw no speed test difference using TMO sim card.

Can you please let us know the steps or info to flash the unlock version to s24u or step-by-step info

I followed the steps someone already showed on page 215. One additional note is after flashing is completed and the phone booting up the new image for the first time, it took a long time so be patience.

So I called before the end of the billing cycle to cancel my mobile line. I was told by the rep that the lines were canceled. I proceeded to get charged for another billing cycle. I call again and the rep tells me that this is normal, the lines are already canceled but will need to wait until 5/1 to be terminated. Am I getting cheated by multiple reps?

Ordered s24 on Jan 30 and send my trade in device and got trade in accepted confirmation on Feb 8th and spectrum cancelled my order in Feb 11th.

When I asked spectrum said I will received my trade in credits after 2 billing cycles( I was not confident about it)

When I reached after 2 billing cycles spectrum declining the trade in credit and they can only offer 5$ for the device.

Any one and the same situation? What do we do here? Thanks

So you never got the S24, correct?
But you expect the $700+ trade-in credit?

If I am not making a mistake, I read some pages back you returned it. So.... according to T & C of Tread in they will not return anyphone back.... so if they are giving you $5 take it.

In other word If I am correctly remember that our Sder posted here that He returned his as his Trade was not moving or not passed... by the return dead line approach... I could be wrong.. but remember it.

Oh I forgot that some people activated this through esim. I'm still using physical sim for these so that it's easier to unlock later.

It should work, but do update us please if it works out.

They only give the credit through refund. If the order was cancelled, there is no refund to process.

The best they're going to do is give you credit for the device. If the device is worth $5, that's all they're going to provide. I was lucky (or unlucky I guess since I still lost my device), but at the very least they rounded it up and gave me $10 as courtesy. Assurant won't return the device so you're out of luck if you want the device back. It's long gone if it's been two months and even if you contact them early, they won't return it unless the value of the device doesn't match to what they promised.

Anyway, got my two S24 unlocked tonight and flashed the unlock firmware. Probably the best phone deals this year woot

My trade-in devices were declined, so I rejected the $0 offer. Assurant shipped the devices back to me.

I got it unlocked after activating eSIM back on the device, though initially rep says not active 60 days when he tried to unlock by phone number, but after giving IMEI, he is able to unlock. Thanks to you all for the suggestion to make eSIM active before requesting unlock.
