The monitor in this deal is also smaller than dual 27". 49" is equal to dual 27.

I frequently tell myself that my 34" curved monitor is too big. I also frequently tell myself I should buy something like this.

I just contacted Amazon customer support and got $150 in credit back! WOOHOO! From what I hear they never price match, but returning and rebuy wasn't an option.

This is a great deal for this monitor for sure!

Got very excited for a moment, but I'm waiting on a sale for the 45gr75dc-b. Near as I can tell this model doesn't have usb power delivery. Great deal if you don't care about that.
Yeah I went with this one as I'm using it on a Mac mini, usb-c to DisplayPort is all good for me.

What do you mean by 1500r vs 1000r? Is one better than the other for regular office work?
Smaller number = more curved

(1000R more curved than 1500R)

Is this the same size as two 27" monitors?
I'm sure someone can give a much better detailed answer, but roughly yeah.

My two 27" are vesa mounted and angled towards my chair, and they're about 47 wide (which includes the bezels).

it's more the same size as 2 x 24.8" monitors @ 2560x1440. 2 x 27" is a 49" monitor. pixel density may play a factor if you're not used to small text at the (round up to) 25" @ 1440p size. otherwise you'd have to do windows font scaling at say 125% text size.

ppi comparisons (16:9) :

1920 x 1080 @ 23" = 96 ppi
1920 x 1080 @ 24" = 92 ppi (also the same as 43" 32:9)
1920 x 1080 @ 27" = 82 ppi (also the same as 49" 32:9)
2560 x 1440 @ 24" = 122 ppi
2560 x 1440 @ 24.8" = 118 ppi (this monitor, @ 45" 32:9)
2560 x 1440 @ 27" = 109 ppi (also the same as 49" 32:9)

I said the same thing about my 34" wide screen but I just purchased the Asus ROG Strix XG49VQ 49" Curved Gaming FreeSync Monitor 144Hz for $500 from Amazon and I love it.
Do you find it annoying for non-gaming use? I was watching a review today for this 45" and the reviewer kept saying they thought the curve+size was distracting for anything outside of gaming and movies.

I tried the Odyssey 49" and it was way too big for the desk, but that was also because of the ridiculous curve. This one's not nearly as round, 1500R vs 1000R makes a huge difference.

I keep thinking about adding a 24" vertical to my 38" ultrawide to leave email/Teams/whatever running, but something like this sure would be pretty. Hmm
I had a 24" vertical next to a 34 ultrawide, and didn't like it. Also tried it above, which was better but still didn't like it. Went with a 32" 4k with no regrets, you might wanna consider 42", at least for productivity.

Yeah it is annoying that they don't make youtube, and other things stretch but it's ok. I do love how you can split up web pages into 3 sections or whatever you want. But game play is AWSOME. I've been playing The Division 1 & 2 and Assassin's Creed Syndicate they look fantastic.

How?? Did you have an old return or credit that applied, or was there a code/discount we're all missing?
