The monitor in this deal is also smaller than dual 27". 49" is equal to dual 27.

I frequently tell myself that my 34" curved monitor is too big. I also frequently tell myself I should buy something like this.

I just contacted Amazon customer support and got $150 in credit back! WOOHOO! From what I hear they never price match, but returning and rebuy wasn't an option.

This is a great deal for this monitor for sure!

I had Best Buy pricematch the 45GR75DC-B from Microcenter.

I had $50 in rewards to use, plus the offer for another 10% back in rewards (capped at $50) plus my Total Tech which gives me a two year warranty.

Now I will test drive it and see how I like it. I don't really game. Using it more for office work (I work from home)
I'd be using this for office type work primarily as well, and would be interested in your feedback. Please share!

I imagine the curvature (1500R = ~5ft) is going to be way to extreme for productivity, but that curvature will alleviate the viewing angles of the VA. Could use more usb ports, definitely would be nice to have USB-C display & power.

Ultimately a good sign for ultrawides. I bought a 40" msi and didn't like the backlighting, 34" dell but don't like the size (got used to 40"); loking for a deal on a 38" IPS with USB-C but those have been floating near $900 for a long time

1500R is not that extreme for productivity. I have a 1000R for work and it's perfect.

Dammit. Just bought one a week ago. Too much trouble to return. Does Amazon track serial numbers? Thinking of buying this cheaper one and returning it as the more expensive one.
Yes they do

90w PD should be in the headline. That's a nice premium feature.

Be aware this does NOT have usb-c as noted in the description. This was the primary feature I was looking for when I bought my monitor which is a variant of this one - GR75. If that doesn't matter then this is a good deal, but I wanted power delivery which is something the Odyssey monitors do not offer. I primarily use it for productivity for what it's worth.
I just bought the gr75 version at Microcenter for only $599. I plugged in one laptop hdmi and the other with usb c. Works great side by side and kvm worked too. Need to plug the usb a cable to the hdmi laptop and then you can plug mouse and keyboard to the monitor.

Out of curiosity, I just ran the numbers. You are correct, but I wanted to see how it compares.

dual 24 inch is roughly 44 inches
dual 25 inch is roughly 45 inches
dual 26 inch is roughly 47 inches
dual 27 inch is roughly 49 inches

That's not on the Amazon version. Only on the Microcenter one via USB-C.

I used a 45 inch monitor and was so excited until I actually started using it. It felt too massive and I felt like I was turning my head CONSTANTLY. So many games don't support this aspect ratio either and it just makes it awkward. When you do run games at ultra wide resolutions, always remember that you're getting way worse frame rate for not much more clarity and sharpness. This is because the number of pixels increases horizontally but not diagonally (the vertical height is the same as a regular 16:9 monitor. And tbh you are pretty close to pushing the same amount of pixels as a 16:9 4k monitor in which case, why wouldn't you just a 4k monitor? Just my two cents, I'm not trying to discourage anyone from getting an ultra wide monitor, but I will say that many people do end up disappointed and it's not what they imagined it would be.
