No way, I paid less than $800 for my S22 Ultra, I wouldn't pay $800 for S24 Ultra, it will be that price very soon. The original price of $1200+ is too high for S24U

That's a very good trade-in value from Samsung for a 6-year old phone (that they might be able to resell in bulk for $40)! Guess they really want to keep Note 8 users in the Sam fam.

Why do you get why?

Phones have insane amount of memory needs for people like me that like to take videos and pictures, apps keep going up and memory, yet my Note 4 with an SD card had way more memory then the s23 I have.

There's phones out there with memory card slots just not Samsungs
It costs these company's pennies to add a slot for a memory card. This is why I'm not upgrading anytime soon from my S20. I like being able to just take the card out and put it into the next device without having to transfer or re-download what I already have.

You say insane amount of memory but 512GB isn't that much these days. They just want you to spend the extra $300 or more for that extra memory instead of buying the lowest memory model and adding 512 GB yourself for under $30.

Phone companies could literally make a lot more money by just having 1 version of each phone that only has 256GB of memory with expandable storage. But money is more important than common sense.

Dude.. Every single release.. Why do you and others keep complaining about SD cards. It's not coming back to these phones. GET OVER IT. There are other lower tier phones that have SD card slots. Go there if that's your priority.

Referrals can only be used on a new account that hasn't made a purchase before, I believe. The codes should be able to be used by more than one person though, as the referral page only gives one code and it has a place for a list of people who used them. I've given them out for both my accounts but neither show any uses, except one shows a cancelled order. People keep pm'ing me saying that they don't work but I assume they must be using an account that is ineligible for referrals.
I realized based on the amount of points you get it's not worth the effort

Not sure why this is a separate thread. Perhaps we should create a thread for every phone Samsung gives an elevated trade-in value for when you buy their new expensive flagship

The effort to share a referral? Basically zero effort. If I get a little bonus, cool. If someone else gets a better deal, even better. I saved $66 on my new phone because someone made the little effort to make a referral. I'd say that's worth it.

Thanks for the info. What's the referral page where you get referral codes? Also, I thought you enter them in the same place as coupon/ discount codes go during checkout. Is that correct?

Does anyone know if I can trade in a note 8 with screen burn in? I read the FAQ and it just states the device needs a functioning display with no black spots or pixilation. Any input is appreciated. Great deal because my note has been sitting in a drawer for a few years.

Page to get your own code to give, or page to get a code to use? For the former, depends on your country but US is something like samsung.com/us/account/my-referrals. For the latter, I don't think we can share that here. And yes, you enter the code in the coupon box.

when do you think it will creep down to 800$ ? I am thinking of holding off for another 6 months with my note 10 Plus. Still a solid phone and left with at least 40-50% charge after a full day of use. Thank God.

I have had multiple Samsung accounts because I always wanted to save the 5%. I am not sure its worth the effort to do that. Sure, if you are new to Samsung and its your first purchase ok. Its very easy for someone looking for one use for a puchase to find one.

If someone flat out asked me to give them a code I would oblige of course but I am not going out of my way to circumvent SD rules and pm people about a code. Posting on other social media sites is fine but from whenever I had referred someone in the past , the points only turned into a few bucks.
