I have the iplay 50 mini pro and it has gotten 4 updates in the last 4 months. It's security is currently up to date from November 2023, this is the same as my last update for my Tab S9.
But I don't know if there will be any future updates.
Point is... a $100 tablet is just as fast as Samsung's $220 tablet... security and better screen and better speakers does not justify $120 premium IMHO. Also, if you can root... the Chinese tablets are the way to go.

The slowest CPU/GPU you should get is the G99 by MediaTek. The G99 is todays low level CPU which is faster then last years mid level CPUs.
And to have an idea, Amazon sells a G99/8GB/128GB 10.36" for $99, it is called the LincPlus T3. I know nothing else but this looks like the best tablet deal around.
I did buy the Iplay 50 mini pro and I really like it. The iplay 50 mini pro (get the NFE version if you want Widevine L1 support). It sells for $120 for the 128GB version and $140 for the 256GB version. The iplay 50 mini pro has ZERO bloatware and is practically stock android.
The best tablet deals IMHO are...
1. LincPlus T3 FOR $100
2. Iplay 50 mini Pro FOR $120 (I have this one)
3. A Lenvo P11 Pro Gen 2 or better FROM CHINA where they sell for $207.00 or $199 with a SD870... OLED SCREEN!!!!
While I have the Samsung Tab 9... I may sell it on Facebook for like $525.00 and purchase the Lenovo from China. Still debating.
