1,000 points are valued at about $8
Not the greatest promo, unless you have some serious stay activity coming up in the next few months. But I'll take it, as any extra points will help offset the devaluation Marriott has done to their redemption / hotel category process over the past few years. still not as bad as Hilton devalued their program...but it's getting there in the race to the bottom of the devaluation path.

Just a Marriott Bonvoy account. Nothing crazy.
As long as both are under your name you'll be all set. Sometimes I book for my employees and they change to their names and I don't get credit 😑

my company forces us to use Expedia to book hotels / flights and pay in advance...
Not traveling for work but used to work for TMO corporate and another tech company currently, they both use concur or other travel and expense management software for booking travel (flights and hotels) which allows you to enter your loyalty programs but you pay with the corporate credit card - you keep the points and the miles, while they keep the cash back from the credit card spend.

I don't think this is accurate. I had prepay and AAA work the last two years.
Makes sense! Thank you

I just shared what I was told. I do not know whether the terms are the same in your case. I hope you are correct too. I'd follow her words anyway because I do not want to risk voiding the offer for just a few bucks...
