For years I have used an Airscape container to keep my coffee fresh. It's an airtight canister (check!) that includes a plunger assembly that forces out the excess air (check!) and seals-out air and humidity. I've given them as gifts to friends and have received nothing but compliments, and have used one in my kitchen successfully for years.
The maker is Planetary Designs, they have different sizes and colors available and they sell on many sites including Amazon.

Love em so far and they look nicer than the bag of coffee I have but, make NO mistake to those lurking...it's simply a fancy, heavy coffee storage container. It's not a replacement for a 'real coffee snob' airtight container. Despite what the marketing will have you believe.
TL;DR Not as good as a 'proper' container but better than keeping it in the bag. If you have a cheap sealable container, it's pretty the same as that but just heavier and more fancy looking.
(Regulary was $14.99)

One quart wide-mouth mason jars with lids are about $1.60 each at my local Ace, when bought as a case of 12.
So Airscapes work well in keeping the coffee fresh? The way it operates, you would assume you've only pushed out the air in the empty space above the beans, and not actually removed any of the air between them, which would continue oxidation. I just ordered a canister off Temu but now having second thoughts!

You can do a test using water to see if it leaks, but that only tells you that it is capable of sealing well. It's totally possible that when in real world use, residue or something could get stuck in the lid/gasket, resulting in a ruined seal.
I'm a bit of a coffee snob, and I recently started using mason jars and an inexpensive (~$20) USB rechargeable jar vacuum sealer. You only need cheap, off-the-shelf Ball jars to have a "fool-proof" seal, no proprietary containers.
With a vacuum sealed mason jar, the "safety button" on the lid is a nice physical way of telling if it is sealed. If it "pops" when pressed, you know it's not sealed.
I buy a 2-3 lb bag of coffee beans every few weeks, distribute them across a few Ball jars, and vacuum seal them. When I'm done grinding my daily beans, I do a quick "press" on the lid buttons to make sure they're still sealed. I do have a small Airscape-like container that I keep any small amount of leftover grounds in, for use over the next few days.

I use Fellow Atmos and you twist the top to purge air from the entire container until you can't any longer. The freshness of my beans is incredible even after weeks. The vacuum loosens over time but nothing immediate and mates perfectly for contents that gets used regularly.
In Temu, search for coffee canister airtight. See some Airscape types but not the twist air purge ones.
