I've bought a few e-bikes that came in boxes that were absolutely obliterated from shipping.
I guess I'm gonna have to get a new WiFi 5 or 6 access point for my office, the WiFi has been fine for everything in there (it's not hard wired for Ethernet and I don't really feel like running a cable to this room), then I could get one of those gigabit usb lan adapters and just plug it to the access point. My cable modem and gigabit switch are in the basement, where most of my gear is. The office space was set up for WFH during the pandemic and we just left it like that, but makes a great little media room too.
Edit: could I skip the access point and just use another 1300mb usb3 WiFi dongle?
100" U8K $3k > 100" U76N $2k > 100" U8K $4k >= 98" XL $3k >= 98" S5 $2k
(Meaning if you can get the U8K for $3k get it over the other options. If it's only available for $4k then weigh your options a bit more)
They're very similar- I don't think the 100ish more dimming zones justifies the $1k price difference between this and the U76N especially when the U8K is available for $3k currently from electronic express (and likely that price at Best Buy again in the near future)
But there's not a whole lot of real-world info or reviews on most of these (especially the U76N) so it really is just my opinion which is subjective.

Thanks for the reply!! Getting the u76n delivered next week
For these sizes I tend to do the bottom 1/3 vs center. Mine is mounted 29" from bottom of TV to floor and tilted down slightly.

The Chromecast OS is very snappy and fast. Picture quality is gorgeous. Yes DV night not be reference nits but it does get very bright. Disney CGI movies look amazingly colorful, bright and clear. Xbox Series X gaming is amazing.
Blacks get really black like OLed and content like Marvel, Star Wars, Top Gun all look great.
We just watched Barbie this weekend which was uhd SDR on Amazon but the colors really popped
Have this in a Media room and love it.
Shows as $3K again: https://www.nfm.com/hisense-100-c...54748.html
- $2k TCL 98" S5 has no dimming zones
- $2k Hisense 100" U76N has 256 dimming zones.
- $3k TCL 98" R754 (XL) has 192 dimming zones.
- $3k Hisense 100" U8K has 1620 dimming zones
- $5k Samsung 98" Q80C has 120 dimming zones
- $6k TCL 98" QM8 has 2300 dimming zones
- $8k Sony X90L has ? dimming zones. Don't know but the 85" has 96
At the $2k and $3k price Hisense clearly is the better pick for dimming zones. Keep in mind that dimming zones aren't everything, the processing also matters. TCL favors keeping blooming to a minimum but this is overdone in my opinion (I had the 98" R754 for a few weeks). It crushes shadow detail and still shows blooming. Hisense favors showing a bit more detail and has more zones so it will be more accurate most of the time. I haven't seen the 98" QM8 but I'd be surprised if the Hisense U8K isn't still better. If you can wait for 2024 TVs this fall then do that. We should be seeing 5000 zone TVs in the $3-5k range. Hisense is also switching to ADS-Pro (similar to IPS) panels which with the higher zone count will lead to a much better viewing experience for on and off-axis viewing.
TL;DR I don't see a reason to pick any TCL.
There is also Mini and Micro LED tech getting better. Quantum Dots Tech. AI image Processors. Brightness going higher. All that for possibly cheaper.
If you rather not wait and you want something that will last you another 5 to 10 years and blow your mind today I would say stick with Sony. Their XR Clear image processing is indeed amazing. Hisense and TCL TVs at these size look great, my concerns are more towards the build quality and durability. Nothing that a good extended warranty can't fix though.
