89C has legs instead of a pedestal stand, otherwise identical.

I've had this TV for about 7 weeks or so now. Great TV, but just got a stuck-on pixel dead center. Tried all of the stuck pixel tricks, pixel refresh, etc. It's still there. Not too noticeable in most shows, but of course now my eye is always looking for it.

Absolutely this. It's competes with the C3 so getting it for less than the B3 is a steal. It's effectively the same TV as the S90C.

Great deal. I don't even like Samsung TVs (personally hate the Tizen OS), but would probably snag one of these at this price if I needed it. Problem is I'm a television hoarder and I've grown weary of the constant upgrade cycle. I've told myself I'm not going to upgrade anymore of my TVs until there's another major leap in the tech, I have 2 OLEDs (Sony and LG) already. I can't 💩 on this deal tho, as it really is great value slick deal. The lack of Dolby vision sucks tho, and for anyone with a large library of DV content, it could be a dealbreaker.
I'm really looking forward to see Sony's new tech on mini LED TVs at 4k nits. OLEDs are still the king of the land but the mini LED tech is getting really dam good and a better value the OLED. Longer lifespan and cheaper. If I had already a 4K OLED I would just wait it out one or two more years to see how those Sony's perform.

There is no new tech with that, but Sony has a more refined algorithm for backlight control. The problem right now is viewing angle, color fading, gamma rise. There's been some buzz about ADS pro, an IPS technology, but from what we've seen it's still only within the 2000:1 contrast range, which is quite inferior to 7000:1 on VA.

EPP with chat 10%, 2 year Care+ and referral on Samsung got me down to 1770 for S90C. Less 9% for EPP and 5% cb (if it goes through), but I think that's about the lowest it's been other than the one time for half a day at 1620 in the summer.

On the fence about it, have a 65 A80J, but wanted something bigger. Any idea from prior years if it'll go to 1500 over the next few months? Not in a rush

The LG C3 OLED and Samsung S89C OLED are similar TVs occupying the same market position. The Samsung is better for gaming and a slightly better overall TV, while the LG is better for movie fans. The Samsung has a wider color gamut and gets brighter than the LG, especially in HDR; not only that, but it also maintains its HDR brightness better in Game Mode. It also supports 4k @ 144Hz, while the LG is limited to 4k @ 120Hz. However, the LG supports DTS audio formats and Dolby Vision, making it great for Blu-ray fans. It also has better low-quality content smoothing than the Samsung TV, making it better for watching streaming content, especially in low-bitrate situations.
Personally, I will pick the s89/s90 for QD-OLED

Briefly considered it, but I think it's actually in the form of BB rewards and not cash back, which doesn't do much for me. Maybe someone else can confirm.
Per the terms I read online it seems you can buy the extended warranty upto 60 days after the purchase of the TV. Was thinking on using the rewards to pay for it.

I have the BB card and can confirm the 10% is rewards, not cashback. And it's only on the first purchase if you use it the same day you open the account. Otherwise, you can choose between 5% rewards or 0% interest free financing for 12-24 months, depending on what promotion they offer at the time. I always go for the 0% interest because I really don't like giving them big chunks of money all at once. I also turned down the 10% rewards and went for zero interest financing on my first purchase.
Did you applied online or at the store? Just curious if I do it online if it will let me use the card right away or it makes you wait for a physical card.

What I have noticed is that there isn't much stock out there of these TVs compared to previous years. Thus the probability of retail stores having unsold stock requiring them to drop the prices are going to be less likely. Since you have an A80J already if I were you I would wait it out.

Not sure why my multiple quote isn't working, but if price isn't an issue, the LG C3 is better for streaming. As this person quoted from rtings that the C3 is better for this purpose. If price is a major consideration, then yes, the S89 is definitely a better buy.

And the total tech is worth it. Especially considering if you cancel it within 60 days you get a full refund. After 60 days it's pro-rated. Any large purchase I make I subscribe to the cheapest level, which gives you 60 days of return policy along with price matching then cancel after 60 days

Hi

I tried to do this but as soon as I add total tech they remove my 5 year warranty. So question - if I cancel after 60 days for a full refund then can I still add my 5 year warranty on the date when I cancel ?

I bought this yesterday after my 3 year old broke my TCL 6 series. After seeing this deal I almost high fived the little bugger when my wife's back was turned.

It's a great buy, will it be the BEST buy ever, probably not. It's a great deal for right now tho.

Like I mentioned in another post, we are very close to Super Bowl time. Every year, Best Buy gets TVs returned after the Super Bowl and they are then sold as open box with minimal use. Perhaps it's worth waiting for a couple weeks to a month to see if you can score a good deal on an open box. New models are coming in a few months, so I don't think these 2023 model TVs will return to their prior price points, and I don't think the 2023 inventory is at risk of selling out any time soon.
I was in your same boat, ie thinking to wait it out since this year Hisense and TCL took a big bite of the market with their big cheap TVs affecting sales of OLEDS. I thought there was going to be an overstock of OLEDs and price drops. But what I have noticed is that manufacturers have been more conservative and there isn't that many stock out there. I might be wrong but at least in my area the S90C and C3 are sold out.

Just saying that it might be harder to run into a slickdeal.
