89C has legs instead of a pedestal stand, otherwise identical.

I've had this TV for about 7 weeks or so now. Great TV, but just got a stuck-on pixel dead center. Tried all of the stuck pixel tricks, pixel refresh, etc. It's still there. Not too noticeable in most shows, but of course now my eye is always looking for it.

Absolutely this. It's competes with the C3 so getting it for less than the B3 is a steal. It's effectively the same TV as the S90C.

Many experts and reviewers agree that it's hard to tell a difference and sometimes DV looks worse .

Oled vs LED is a different tech way different looks. One brighter other better contrast.
This is like complaining that 480P does not look nice on Best 4K TVs because they don't have good up Processing.

Looking and watching a TV needs experts?? This is not 90s. Everyone has multiple TVs from different brands & tech based TVs in home.
Reviewers always a have bias of "not getting a TV from a brand" if Truth is spoken. + Many reviewers have a bias for some brands.

Anyone can revisit old comments in many forums about Pro-Samsung groups about the tirade against OLED. Now they started the same pattern of DV abuse.

If HDR is so great, why they have HDR10 and some???

Listen no need to argue I think you have some sort of narrative on your head who is they? There is no organized group of people degrading things.

Dolby vision as a format is superior however it is just a format, the tv processing has to do a lot of work to make it look good. The content creators have to do a LOT of work to grade the hdr properly. They often don't. For example when the mandalorian came out they graded the intro text to be the brightest point of the content and this made everything extra dim.

The point is when I say experts I mean people who review TVs for a living talking hdtvtest or stop the fomo level. They buy all the QLED and oleds and test them with objective measurements:

They do side by side comparison sometimes with the same tv. Hdr10 vs Dolby vision side by side same settings and you can observe the difference is not big sometimes Dolby vision looks too dark it's not a reason to skip on an amazing tv.

Your last comment makes me think that you might not understand what HDR10 and Dolby vision really are and how they relate to HDR. Maybe I'm wrong the point stands this is not a reason to skip on this tv put this next to 99 percent of the Dolby vision TVs and most will prefer this tv due to the qdoled colors infinite contrast and brightness.

Also only Samsung was shutting on oled before and the reason was they did not have the panels and neeed to compete market wise NO tv expert would say qled was better. Only in certain situations where your room is very bright with direct sunlight you preferred a qled. Initially oleds were too dim. MLA and QDOLED changed that tho

Caved but I ordered using EPP and was able to get 2 year warranty and 10% off plus free shipping of course. Will be here Monday. I would rather the warranty be directly with Samsung. Also even though they are the same tv, I prefer just having the S90c.

How did you get the codes to stack the referral on mine overwrite the 10 percent coupon that the employee got me
Not sure. I just got the referral code from the 1st cashback site. Then went to Samsung.com, added the TV to my cart with EPP enabled, Care+ added, and Cashback from the 2nd site activated. I then applied the referral code from the 1st cashback site. Then I started a chat with a Rep, they sent a link to a checkout cart that had the care+ and 10% codes already applied. I copied those codes to the cart I already had opened and they stacked all the way through payment. I attached screenshots for reference. To see the screenshots you might have to switch to the old slickdeals.net forums mode. The new interface sometimes doesn't show them.

When you say they offered you the two codes, do you mean they actually gave you two codes to enter into your own shopping cart, or that they generated a cart with the codes already entered?
See my post above, did not see your post earlier otherwise would have quoted you too on that reply.

Thank you OP and literally every single person that posted a comment on this thread. I found them very helpful in convincing myself to pull the trigger on this TV. My GF hates you all, though.

My company's rewards/bonus program allows you to use points to buy gift cards at various retailers, BB being one of them. Got $600 in gift cards so this puppy only cost me $1,200 plus tax. Not bad for an upgrade from 60" to 77". It's technically too large for my viewing distance, but it also prevented me from buying an 83" or larger TV.

If you have EPP/EDU, 77 S90C should be $2,070. Ask the rep for 10% and potential 5% referal, you should be tad cheaper than $1,800. Plus potential free mounting and 2yr care offered by the rep.

If you are going thru perksatwork, there should also be 9x points, and that should be able to stack with other portals, plus Samsung rewards.

One other question, has anyone had any success with taking the leg stands off after putting them on? I read the instructions and it said "reverse the installation steps"... so imagine they don't have a release button or anything I need to push before sliding them off?

We waited for the Proper Mounting Kit and Screws to arrive (pay attention to screw length if your going to mount) and used the legs/stands... now now want to wall mount it but the size of the tv coupled with how thin it is leaves us nervous to apply any pressure...

Thanks in advance!
Do you know which is the right length of the screws my 65 s95b used M8 screws but the mounting has 25 or 45 and I needed some length in the middle

I'm not really talking about Samsung anything in fact many of these reviewers don't say this is the best tv they prefer the Sony qdoled and others that have Dolby vision. What I'm talking about specifically is that the lack of support for Dolby vision does not matter and no one without a side by side will notice or see a difference even when they see it they won't prefer the Dolby vision all the time.
Just a format. The content grading is much more important
You buy a tv to enjoy the image and trust me if u or anyone gets this tv dials it in and watches a movie they'll be too impressed they won't give a crap about Dolby vision.
Not to say the Dolby vision capable TVs are worse is just that it isn't a big dealll

Also- do you not have sales tax
Our posts were deleted by the mods due to the cashback policy slickdeals has which I understand and totally fair since they pay the rent too with the same mechanism. Redacted your original post to remove anything related to that.

Answering your other question

They did charged me tax on the final price. The screenshots are just showing the sub-total.

Maybe before you try again try clearing your cookies or using incognito. The only reason we get these slickdeals on Samsung.com is due to the big mess there website is, specially the backend coding they have. Because of the convoluted mess their website is these stacking codes deals are very YMMV.

Good luck, hope you get the deal.

To the slickdeals mods, I apologize about the cashback website talk.

I ordered a set of screws online/amazon that offered screw sizes of varying lengths for 12 dollars.

Not sure... which I'll use, the 30 or 35 but the set includes:
M8 x 16mm & M8 x 20mm & M8 x 25mm & M8 x 30mm & M8 x 35mm & M8 x 40mm
Brand was Echogear

G3 has MLA technology which make it brighter than their previous gens but not brighter than the Samsung QD OLED technology. The image processing of the G3 is at another level though and puts it hand to hand with the Sony A95L. The Samsung image processors is way behind in my opinion compared to Sony and LG.

The G3 is LG's flagship thus the higher price. Is meant to compete with the Sony A95L and Samsung S95C. If price wasn't a factor in my opinion Sony A95L is better than the LG G3, and in last place is the S95C.

The S90C and S89C are cheaper versions of the S95C with the main difference being the wireless input box that no one really cares about, a little brighter image, and a slight better color calibration out of the box, and maybe better audio. However reviews have shown that image quality between the S90C and S89C is negligible. I saw them side by side and I really can't tell the difference. So the S90C has become the better buy.

The G3 price in the other hand is way higher because of the reputation LG has built in the past few years in the OLED TV market, making the demand for it high in that market. Not to mention that LG has to pay Dolby fees for the Dolby Vision and Sound features included. Samsung doesn't includes Dolby with their TV so they can lower the price. The OS Tizen, although is a piece of crap costs less to use for Samsung's TV division mainly because it is used in way more devices than LG's WebOS. Samsung is the number 1TV maker in the market and has had better manufacturing yields than LG. LG is known that has had some problems utilizing their plants at 100% thus increases the costs.

In summary G3 costs more because it is a higher tier TV for LG, with better image processor, Dolby, better reputation, and a brightness good enough thanks to MLA. The S90C is cheaper because it doesn't have Dolby, is Samsung's mid tier TV, Sammy has lower reputation to LG in the OLED market, and I think mainly because Samsung decided that their strategy in the OLED market was to compete in the more affordable tiers.

If you have the money to burn go with the G3 or the Sony A95L for sure. I wish I had that kind of money, would have gotten a Sony long time ago. But for less than $2k this Samsung TV is the undefeated best value.
Solid Summary sir! Can't wait to mount this thing on my wall Smilie

Not sure, I've not mounted it yet, but did try prior to putting the leg/stands on it, but found that the screws were either too short or too long. The long ones required two spacers and a larger spacer, which pushed the bracket about an inch off the actual tv (not cool). Did some research online and found that others have encountered the same issue and that best thing to do was buy a kit online; wich I did. To answer your question, I imagine the answer is 'no, I will not need washers if I use the 30 or 35". i think the 25 that came with the mount was just a few threads short of reaching.. so imagine the 30 will work just fine and present no danger. If it doesn't screw enough after initially catching I'll go with the 35 and likely use one of the washers with the punch out centers.
