89C has legs instead of a pedestal stand, otherwise identical.

I've had this TV for about 7 weeks or so now. Great TV, but just got a stuck-on pixel dead center. Tried all of the stuck pixel tricks, pixel refresh, etc. It's still there. Not too noticeable in most shows, but of course now my eye is always looking for it.

Absolutely this. It's competes with the C3 so getting it for less than the B3 is a steal. It's effectively the same TV as the S90C.

Asking the delivery guy to wait might be kind of a big ask. It took me about 10 minutes to get it unboxed and the legs attached. Also, if it's cold outside they'll tell you to wait a while before plugging it in.
I had a TV delivered from Samsung a few years ago and the guy waited -- I wanted to make sure the screen was not cracked. I did not put the legs on but it just took 2 or 3 minutes to open the box and lift up the top to make sure the screen wasn't cracked.

I've been watching the deals on the C3 77" for a long time…now this Tv pops up and has me questioning which one is the "better quality/feature rich" tv… any Audio/Video gurus out there who can say? I've ran it through ChatGPT but intimately even the chatbot tells me it's "personal preference" as each 1 is "high end" using the latest technology from their respective company's.

Depends what you mean by "better tv".

General consensus, this is a better value than C3 given it is quite a bit cheaper and has better specs. C3 may have some intangibles (lesstangibles?) like reliability, upscaling, customer service, OS, dolby vision, etc. if those are high on your list, you have to determine for yourself. G3 may still have a leg up in some specs (i.e. brightness) but it's nowhere close to this price anywhere.

Price wise there a couple of hundred difference. 1800 here to about 2200 on the c3 77". If price wasn't the differentiator, is the Samsung qd-oled as good as the c3 oled..(is lg making that panel for them)… and I'm thinking my kids might hook up their Xbox…so it's important that there's no jitter or poor motion.

Samsung is using their own QD-OLED panel in this one, at least in the USA. So it will outperform the C3 in almost every benchmark (brighter, better colors, better uniformity, etc.). I've heard it's fantastic for gaming (as most OLEDs are due to super fast response times), so it sounds like this is a good deal for you.

I typically use Rtings, but ended up using this video afterward and was super pleased with the outcome: https://youtube.com/watch?v=ziSdu_a_t7w

What screws are you guys using? I tried m8 30 mm and the bite seems a bit shallow. The manual for the s89cb seems to list 28-30mm.

Can any existing Citi Reward+ Card Holders confirm if Citi is still offering extended 2 year warranty for purchases ? I have been approved for a card but it seems it will still take a week for the card to ship. I am unable to view the benefits that comes with Reward + card . Much appreciated.

Which 83" did you go with im torn between 83" s90 (WOLED) and this 77" s89 (QD-OLED)
The 2024 83in LG G4 will have MLA, if will be brighter but way more expensive for sure than this deal. Just mentioning as another data point for your decision.

The Sony version is sold out at Best buy but it was priced at 4,999.99 wow
Yeah, the so much called Sony tax. In my opinion that TV looks amazing. Sadly Sony tends to not drop the price on those master series TVs and they sell out super fast even at those high prices. I was willing to wait a year to get the A95L hoping the price would drop when the new model comes out but the fact that there is close to 0% stock of the 77in A95L nation wide and that Sony announced they will be focusing on mini led TVs kind of got me worried that Sony will not be making many of the A95L models and the price might never go down. Fearing on missing out this great Sammy prices I just gave up on waiting for the Sony.

I'm sure the A95L will drop in price and I will be banging my head against the S90C LMAOlaugh out loud

Search this thread using keywords "calib" there are a few posts about it. I read that Samsung let's you calibrate the TV using an App on your Smartphone, it is not a professional calibration but worth the try.

I'm definitely giving this a try. I used the RTINGS settings and wasn't impressed.

There are 2 other cash back sites one offering 5% and the other 6% for purchases at Samsung.com. I went with the 5% one and they game me $86 already. For best buy purchases I only found one with 2% or the 10% best buy rewards promo.
Yeah looks like it started today there is an option with 4%> I'd prefer BB for ease of return and financing
