Frustrating how the high end tablet is so wrapped up Apple doesn't even have to release them for a full year. Google needs to turn tablets over to the Chromebook folks.
My order has been canceled. Do everyone experience the same?
I ordered at $199 last month. I had to place three orders, because the first two (shipping) got cancelled. The third (store pickup) is still pending fulfillment.

Thanks for your sharing. I will order again and hope it go throught this time.
The $199 Apple Ipad wifi 64 GB that I bought a couple weeks ago was a 10th Generation. The bottom of the packing box says so and the serial number is 10th Gen when you look it up on checkcoverage.apple.com
I was hoping for a deal on the iPad Pro from AAFES
Don't buy an iPad Pro right now. Just wait a month. A new one is about to be launched in March. Either get the significantly upgraded new one or the old one at a discount. Either way don't buy it now.
Is even too expensive for $199. Only 64gb storage. That is ridiculous in 2024.
I absolutely agree... But who keeps stuff on an iPad?! Seriously... They are just consuming devices for the absolute most part. So I k ow people play games will suffer, but out side of that...

iPad Pros with high refresh rate Pro Motion displays and the 2nd gen Apple Pencil is actually great for digital art/drawing so there are some niche reasons to use an iPad for non-content consumption.

You don't need the box to say 10th gen, because the entire device looks different no home button square edges and USB c charging. The 9th gen is the original design that first came out with the home button just got slimmer and slimmer over the years.

For average user consumption a Pro isn't needed.
However, if you want to use it for work or school, I'd go with a Pro. It can more easily hook up to external monitors, more powerful cpu, 2nd gen pencil, and potentially larger screen (for a price).
