Nothing wrong with returning an item you do not need/like
Also, how much time will it run with a 20V 2.0 Ah battery?
Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank PEMP
Then you get a free 2AH battery. You can't buy just the tool for $65.16. Just the tool is $159 whether you take the free battery or not. You can 't walk in and buy the tool for $65.16. As this ad leaves you to believe you can. If you want thje tool only you will pay $159.
To be very clear about the deal being linked to: if you follow the link to the Home Depot listing, you will be offered a tool with no battery or charger for $159. In the top right of the listing page, you will have the option of adding a free 5Ah POWERSTACK battery, which usual retails for $229 on its own. The total price will remain at $159 (plus tax). However, if you choose to purchase the bundle, you will be charged the prorated prices of each component: tool for $159/($159+$229) x $159 = $65.16; battery for $229/($159+$229) x $159 = $93.84, as reflected on the receipt. According to the Home Depot return policy, you have 90 days to return either (or both) components to get a refund. Therefore, your choices are as follows:
I have attempted to be respectful and informative in this post, and yet I am waiting for the thumbs down feedback to ensue.

That's why the OP says "prorated" in the title and then, in the body, breaks down how much each component will be ticketed as on the receipt.
Sorry, you lost me there. How I reconcile the breakdown of the pricing is shown at the bottom of this post in bold.
I agree that you need to pay $159. However, according to the receipt you have paid $65.16 for the tool and $93.84 for the battery. These prices are prorated on the basis upon obtaining a $159 item (tool) and a $229 item (battery) for a total of $159. Each of these items are subject to the return policy at the prorated price you paid for them.

Nice breakdown! I gave you a thumbs up. I'm starting too wonder if there are a group of trolls on here with all of the thumb downs on useful posts.
You have the patience of a saint. Between the uninformed, deluded, morally superior and just plain argumentative on here, it's starting to feel like reddit.
And you already got a thumbs down for your trouble.
