I did not realize I had already (at some time in the past) link a Universal account with my MA, but when signing up for a new Universal account, I happened upon this also. The only problem I have, is I have no idea what email address was used for Universal, so while my MA is linked to Universal for Rewards, I can't log into Universal! Ugh...

I ran into this problem too, but you can start the account sign up process first & then after purchasing it go back and finish signing up to link it.

Do you know how long the purchase takes to register from a linked MA account to the UR account that is in the registration phase?

I registered my new account, linked it to MA, purchased from grub, redeemed the code on MA. All that happened 15 mins ago but my UR account still throws the error.

Whatever I do, I'm not able to create a new universal rewards account. The system is so buggy. I went through the purchase and redeemed it in movies anywhere. But when I try to create a new account, in the end a banner comes up on top saying 'Snap! There is a a problem. Please try again'. The banner disappears. I'm still able to continue and link the account with movies anywhere. Movies anywhere just says 'accounts already linked'. But when I go back and try to log into myuniversalrewards, with the new credentials I cannot. It keeps saying I need to create new account.

Just a stupid buggy system.
