Lots of uneducated comments…this is a streaming device and for what it is, it's an incredible device. Its form factor and comfort is hands down the best, its display is amazing and battery lasts forever. Anyone with ps+, Xbox game pass or GeForce subscription should consider buying. This doesn't need a super super strong cpu/gpu bc it simply relies on streaming. Remote play has been amazing on this one for me. I got one for under 200 for a refurb and it's a no brainer at that point for cross platform playing

I pre-ordered this before but I quickly returned it after finding out it's best for streaming games.

I then bought a used almost new condition from offerup for 175. I just couldn't justify the original price given what it can't do before.

It's a great android tablet! and I had been playing mobile games on it but I would love to install retro games on it so me and my kids could play on it. Any ideal links/emulators for this?
For ease of use it's hard to beat Retroarch. Like a one stop shop/Jack of all trades. But for the best experience I tend to use the following:

NES: NES.emu

SNES: SNES9x EX+

GENESIS: MD.emu

N64: Mupen64

PS1: DuckStation (free), ePSXe (paid)

PS2: AetherSX2

DREAMCAST: Redream

PSP: PPSSPP

NEOGEO: NEO.emu

SATURN: Yaba Sanshiro

The following emulators are good, but the experience isn't great due to the lower end chip in the GCloud:

GAMECUBE: Dolphin

SWITCH: Yuzu

I highly recommend the emulators from Robert Broglia. They are in the Play Store and everyone I have used has worked great. If you need a front end to arrange your games and show a visual representation of the systems then my current go to is Daijishō.

If you put any version of the steam deck beside the G Cloud with the same price tag you would be an absolute idiot to go with the g cloud. There's literally nothing that it can do that the SE can't do.
It can last 12 hours before needing a charge, can the SD do that?

When emulating lower spec systems (basically the only ones GCloud can do), you can get like 8-9 hours on the SD OLED. Less for sure, but still pretty solid.

Factor in everything else it can do better and the other systems it can emulate that the GCloud simply can't and the decision becomes even easier.

How often do people really have 12-hour handheld gaming sessions anyway?

Not everyone runs to an outlet every time they stop playing their handheld. Sometimes having a buffer (especially when traveling) can be a godsend. I rarely use the OLED Steam Deck's battery in a single sitting but I frequently discharge the whole battery because charging every time I set it down is not always convenient. The OG Steam Deck you could basically glance at it wrong and the battery would lose 10% charge Wink

Heck, who needs a cellphone with multi-day battery per your logic? LOL

for extra $60, buy a ayn odin 2 instead. It would run any retro game up to ps2 and switch smoothly. It uses the snapdragon 8 gen 2 instead of 720 in Logitech, way faster and only one generation before the latest snapdragon 8 gen.

Why would someone who wanted to play Cloud games spend more money on a (primarily) emulator handheld? When shopping for lawn mowers do you go to the golf cart dealership?

Agreed. And so do the majority of reviews of this device from respected handheld gaming reviewers.

Odin 2 has the Google play store installed default. So every cloud game Logitech could play, odin 2 could play too. I had both logitech and odin 2 before and sold logitech after playing odin 2 for 3 days. For $299, basically you buy a snapdragon 8 gen 2 device without cellar module but with built-in controller. That is a incredible deal.

Reviews are great...when the people understand the purpose of the device. Actually I don't think there is another cloud gaming handheld that has better reviews or market share. Or would you care to correct me?

You too have fun, buddy!

Depending on your use case, Odin screen was too small for me for game streaming
