I have this and it runs very hot . Im looking at my temps as I type and its at 111F and when Im gaming (CS2) its at 150ishF. Get your self some Grizzley thermal paste, kinda expensive but for 7950x i think its recommended by me. For my MB i Asus X670E Extreme. its Running stable not overclocking anymore cuz this chip is fast enough for me. I was able to run it stable using PBO @negative 6% at max so i did not hit the silicon lotto on my chip .

What kind of cooler do you have?
Also, have you considered running it in eco mode 105W?
This really is NOT a good deal no bundle with motherboard either. You can buy this cpu all day long on ebay for under $450. Microcenter is terrible now even on the cpu's that do bundle. I've been going in there for almsot 2 decades and spent well over a milliion dollars and they reward me by banning me from buying any motherboard & cpu bundle deals anymore. I figure home or district office keeps tract of all sales on all there stores so if you buy alot of them they will ban you from buying them, you have been warned.

Im using AIO Corsair H170. Not a big fan of this AIO though. I may try out Noctua next because i do get a little coil whine from the RAD. I did try ECO mode but it was not stable for me.
Since this cpu is "too powerful for anything you've done it with", I'm guessing your pc's main function is for web browsing and sending chain emails with your Juno account.
No, browsing is tied for first with gaming. I have no idea what a Juno account is but anyways I don't really send emails to people.

Did you forget to take the plastic film off your CPU cooler/water block before attaching it? You'd be surprised how many times that has happened and lead to high temps.

So you must be one of those people who buys Microcenter bundles and then relists them on eBay for $50 less than full price. They probably banned you because the whole point of those bundles is to get people into their stores. People will often buy other things while they're there. So you're basically screwing with their business model.

Agree not a great deal. I'll keep your warning in mind when I approach 1 million $ spend which I'm not close to yet. Phew!
If you really want to shop there, most is in person so not sure how they banned you - just create a new account or pay with a different card or cash. Problem solved.
That 10% off i think is with first purchase only. 5% after that
No. This is customer appreciation event that gives you 10% off with a microcenter credit card when buying select items such as cpus, mother boards, compete builds, or tvs.

You measure your temps in fahrenheit? 150F is only 66C which is great.

The other benefit of getting it through best buy is that you can get the Avatar Frontier of Pandora PC digital copy included as a free gift.
Isn't the ryzen 7 7800x3d better?
