It's 1800R curvature for those wondering.
You'd want curved for a 34"ultrawide. I used to use a flat 29" ultrawide, which was fine. I've used both flat and curved 34" ultrawides, and curved is the way to go.

Best price so far, I believe. Front page deal was 799.99 seven months ago. Thanks for posting!

664 is tempting. 1 year warranty worries me.

It's worth noting that, unlike some competitors, Samsung's 1-year warranty doesn't cover burn-in in North America, though this may vary from region to region.

I'm still using 1680x1050 ~21.5 dell monitors non - TN panel displays from 14 years ago (maybe that's VA??)

The quality of the monitor stands is next level they don't make 90 deg spring detente rotating stands of this quality standard anymore!! :

Correct. This is wide qhd. 4k is often closer to the labeled uhd. I just wanted to add that while 4k sounds better, you won't necessarily see a difference because it's all relative to the monitor size. For 34" monitor this is perfectly fine. If you want the most crisp image detail, it will sacrifice frames and power, not to mention a high end gpu.

I had this monitor and loved it, but it had a persistent issue where it wouldn't wake from sleep. The computer would wake, but the monitor wouldn't. The only way to get it back was to either reboot my display driver (there is a hotkey combo that I found online in a thread about this monitor) or completely restart my computer. It seems to only happen on DisplayPort. This was back in November of last year, so it's possible it has been fixed via an update.

I switched it for a Samsung Odyssey G9 when that had the EDU sale and have had no problems with that monitor.
I tried this monitor out and had this same issue with the mini display port (wont wake from sleep) and ended up returning it. The connections on this display are badly designed for no reason that I can see. The image quality was amazing though.

I tried this display because it has streaming built in and I was hoping it would show ultrawide content natively, but it does not (at least when I last tried it). It puts black bars on the sides and top and bottom. The streaming part of the tv thinks its a standard 1080p screen and just blows up the resolution if you try to zoom to get rid of the bars. So, dont get this for its streaming functionality. I ended up getting an LG C3 which handles streaming very well (since its a tv first).

With pixel refresh being in the settings nobody should be recklessly getting burn-in so quickly as it is

They fixed this finally with 1603 firmware. It took like 12-13 months which was ridiculous. It was doing the same on my G70B. it's because it applies game mode before prioritizing the input signal. looks like they finally flipped it to the proper order.

It's 34" and 1800R it is practically a flat screen. Calling it a curve is a joke; the real curve starts around 1000R to 1200R

Yes, in every way shape and form with the exception of susceptibility to burn in. Meaning if you have the same image on screen for a long time an after image sets in, permanently. Every other spec though from brightness to refresh speed, gray to gray, contrast, high dynamic range, etc all are superior by a wide margin. You really should look it up yourself to see if the increase in specs are worth the increase in price for your needs.

What does everyone see as the price for the 49"? Only asking because the price I see for my EPP seems to be different from everyone else's.
