Way to exaggerate. It says 3 grams of added sugar per serving. That means the 3 ingredients before it make up 98% of the contents! If you can't deal with 3 grams of sugar without getting diabetes or having seizures then I feel sorry for you.

I wasn't going to thumbs up it, but I did for you since I know you probably thumbs downed it, so now it's even.

Sugar is necessary to reduce the acidity of the tomatoes. Cooking 101. Technically you could baking soda too, but a hint of sweetness in marinara isn't a bad thing at all, especially if served with pork.

My aunt added diced carrots; it doesn't matter where the sugar comes from.

About the same price from Sam's Club for the three-pack of 32oz jars. 8 cents vs 9 cents per ounce and Sam's is the Tomato+Basil

Is it just me or are there never any good Amazon deals anymore? It's just "lowest recent price on Amazon.com for people who order everything on Amazon.com".

I get this sauce when it's on sale for $1.50 or less.

Maybe once every 4 months or so you see this for 1.50, definitely not less. also the 1.50 will be limit to 2 or 4.

I ordered some of this, and it definitely isn't the same as the other Classico pasta sauces. It _does_ have more sugar in it, and it has more of a "Ragu" sort of taste and texture. If you plan on using it as a starter/base it's entirely usable, but as-is, it's definitely a step down from the standard stuff.

If we took out the bones, then it wouldn't be crunchy.

watch out. i ordered this about a month ago, it came in a box with sauce and glass pieces. sneaky driver put it down first, then another package on top. so i grab both, and i think the neighbors could hear me cussing. then, of course, this is one of those no returns items. luckily, the spilled sauce was all gone the next day

not true. Rao's doesn't use sugar. Neither does Victoria from Costco. Two of some of the best pasta sauces out there.

Checking back to see how many times I mentioned every single sauce ever made or that you would fall ill and die if there were no added sugar added to marinara. As for what's the "best," anyone who'd buy something you could make for less than a dollar in less time than it takes to cook the pasta, well, opinion discarded.
