Unless you have skating experience as a kid, I recommend most adults to start on a longboard or at least a cruiser. Bigger wheels roll over cracks without launching you. Softer wheels grab better and reduce the bumpiness. Longer wheelbases and firmer bushings make the board less darty.

For people who used to skate and want to get back into it, or for people who want a quality setup: this is guaranteed a price point deck. Shit wood, no name trucks, bearings (ABEC 5 is hilarious), and grip. This is the same thing we saw in the 2000s when World started selling completes in your local sporting goods store; you knew it was bad. Better to support your local skateshop and build one with their advice (or go online and do some research).
Again, great deal for new skaters or people who just want to roll around.
they dont show the graphics, but for $47 shipped, im rolling the dice lesss gooooo
It's difficult to tell just by the pictures but you can sort of tell when even comparing cheap CCS blank decks [ccs.com] to this specific 30$ board that the wood is better quality on the CCS ones. Another good example is shown here [skatewarehouse.com]. The DGK wood will chip and splinter whereas the CCS (and any other "real" board) will wear down normally because the board/ wood is made better. It will become much more noticeable as the skateboard gets more dinged up, though not while you're learning to ride.
With all that said the DGK will be a decent starting board if you're just learning. And the only thing you should buy immediately is a skate tool if you don't have regular tools because you'll want to tighten those trucks up asap.
