Thank you Papertrail for pointing out. For 20 cents more you can have 2 fans. It might increase fan noise but you can take out 1 fan as a backup just incase 1 fails.

It would be nicer if they listed values in dB, but regardless of the dB value of one fan, and assuming they do indeed produce the same dB noise level, two fans together should generate around double the noise thus adding 3dB to the rating.

I really like the modern look of these new ID cooling products, I have been waiting for weeks for it to come down off the $50 price.
Is 6 pipes significantly better than 4 or is it the 2nd fan that makes a difference?

You can see the same principle at work on cases like the Fractal Design Torrent which uses several large fans at the front in place of smaller ones so is able to run them slower/quieter than other models.
Both will outperform this cooler. The performance of the Peerless Assassin (PA) and Phantom Spirit (PA) are close, but the PS edges out the PA in every online comparative review I have seen except 1. You can't go wrong with either though. They're both great coolers. It looks like the PS is $35.39 on Amazon [amazon.com] atm.
