A lot of Brother printers are basically immortal when not abused. Mine (an HL2270DW) is going on a decade of on/off printing, never failing to recover even after 6 months of no printing - which is basically unheard of in the inkjet world.

Based on previous feedback and experience I think the refreshments is adequate. I did go ahead and purchased the three year extended warranty just in case as this has mechanical moving parts.
More importantly I think it has an issue, cos the prints I took about 7 of them, have a really thick black border at the left side of the page.. any idea/suggestion how to fix it.
Had only 25 prints, so feels brand new.
