I think this is a great deal on a great mower. I bought this last year when it was $699, and I didn't get the extra battery. I opened a Lowe's account to get an extra $100 off when I bought mine, which they're doing right now through 3/6 (20% off, up to $100).

Really the battery costs these days. If you take the battery out of the equation, the 10AH battery included is $500 MSRP.

MSRP the mower is $850-500 = $350.

The 5AH free battery you get with this deal is $300 MSRP.

Since the mower + 10AH is $750 (using that $350 for the mower cost).. you're paying $400 for the 10AH battery + 5AH battery which are normally $800 MSRP together.

It's 50% off batteries and they're throwing in a free mower. haha

I've been wanting to buy the 7.5ah ego vs the greenworks 80v 4ah plus 2ah battery. I like that Costco offers the 8 years warranty vs the 3 years ego warranty. I have a little more than a 0.25 acre lawn. I am leaning towards the greenworks due to the warranty. The battery deal for this is nicer. Such a tough decision. Any inputs?
I was shopping around at all the different options after buying a house, and I eventually landed on Ego because of the 56v system. Unlike Greenworks, all batteries work with all tools. Thats what pushed me towards Ego, and I'm really satisfied with my purchase. I've since added on a trimmer, a pole saw, a blower, a hedge trimmer, and a cultivator.

Anyone use one of these 7.5 ah batts with the leaf blower? Wondering what kind of runtime you get.

My 25 year old gas pushmower might be on its last leg, but I just use it to get tight spots the rider can't get into easily. So I'd really be more interested in a big battery for blowing leaves in the fall.
I have 7.5, 5, and 2.5Ah Ego batteries and one of their older leaf blowers (615 CFM I think?). The 2.5 on a full charge lasts long enough to make my shoulder ache, and the 5Ah just makes it sore faster. The 7.5Ah is really too heavy to use in anything other than the mower, IMO--but you might be significantly stronger and/or younger than I am.

Is this EGO's most powerful mower? I have the older model single blade mower and it is a little weak for my Bermuda lawn but still gets the job done ok.
They just released a new one 2206 with 11lb-ft of torque. the 2156 is 8.3

Thank you. I see the mower at $554.65+tax.

Ordered from Amazon as well. Will cancel whichever works out.

Edit: When I go on to cancel the battery in Amazon, the mower and battery show as one. So fingers crossed.
I'm seeing the mower for $ 574.68 and the battery for $175.31 across two separate orders. Did you do anything specific to get the lower price on the mower?

If you think this sale price is good, you should see what batteries cost outside the eco ecosystem.

Ego charges out the ass for their battery packs.
I have their batteries for like 8 years now, no issues whatsoever.

Those are some pretty great mental gymnastics and in the end, your closing was wrong.

"50% off batteries" ($400) and "a free mower" ($0) would mean you're paying $400. So no, you're buying a mower ($350) and getting 50% off batteries ($400).

Possible to disable/not use the self-propelled feature?
Yea, it's just a button that controls it. As soon as you let go it's stops the self propelled. We have a bit of a hill on the side yard (walkout lot) and it's nice to just push the button for a few seconds and let it drive itself up the hill.

Holly ... why so much $$ for just a lawn mower. This is a robbery.
Good gas lawn mowers also cost upwards of around this much at the very least

Nothing specific. Added it to cart and checked out. Not sure if Amazon fixed or changed anything.

EGO LM2135SP for $599 with two batteries (7.5Ah and 5Ah) or Greenworks https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sku/...Id=6531331 with String Trimmer and Leaf Blower? Which is better? I don't mind getting the EGO if it's that much better than Greenworks. Mine is 0.2 acre lot with a little sloped front yards.

Have owned this for a few years. Not self propelled. Really like it. No oil changes, no gas. You can get other brands for cheaper
