Charging 4x is not an issue with two batteries.
Calling these machines "trash" is still extremely hyperbolic and helps no one. No solution is perfect; my parents are elderly but still enjoy the exercise of mowing the lawn; not having to clear out seasonal gas, clean out carbs, and push around heavy machines is a boon to them, so electric is ideal for them.

By now if I'd had a battery mower I would probably have needed to buy a new battery at least once, for more than all the maintenance I've done on my mower.
It's worth pointing out that back when I bought my Honda Ego wasn't well known yet and they hadn't been in the mower game long. At that time their 21" mower was $600 with one battery and I definitely would need two for my yard. So it actually would have been more expensive than my Honda.
At this point it doesn't make sense to replace a perfectly functional mower that still runs like it's brand new.
I'm not against people getting Ego mowers, and I'll probably get one someday.
All of my other lawn equipment is Ego.
Is that correct?
Do the batteries have a cap that splits the battery during transport like DeWalt?
We're about to PCS for army in 2 weeks and this sheet says moving company won't touch anything over 100 watt hours when packing household goods due to a policy change in 2023.
I need a mower before summer and I still have two Ego trimmers and a blower. But I am thinking harder about the greenworks at Costco just for warranty reasons.
I use mine on a 25deg slope with no issues. I also mine on the regular 5deg slope and I have to run after the mower if I have the speed setting to high. It just goes.
I have bad knees and got rid of my gas mower because the assist wasnt enough for my slopes. I also hated breathing the fumes of the gas engine; I would get sick breathing fumes. Electric made it so much better. Guess that's the price to pay.

it does take a slight change in habit/expectations with a batt mower. damp grass doesn't cut well at all and the propel isn't instant like with gas. almost tempted to buy this and sell my old one...
I had a battery die on me and getting a warranty replacement was pretty painless.

I like the convenience and quiet of the mower, but I still prefer gas one which is way more reliable(and cheaper) since I have a large yard.

Better said, would the difference in battery size (7.5 here vs my 4) make up for the voltage difference? Or is that apples to oranges?
I'm still happy with mine after a few years of use, but I do miss the raw power of my old gas mower, which was noticeably higher.
