Cancellation went through about an hour ago and the line is no longer active but I haven't received a final bill. Few people mentioned getting it right away - anyone else?

I have the same question. cgigate or gadgetNerd or somebody more experienced with AT&T ship / (not immediately available) pick-up orders from Best Buy, what day does AT&T consider to be the first day of service?
-The day the order was created?
-The day the phone was shipped from warehouse?
-The day the phone was ready for pickup / the day the phone was delivered?
-The day the phone was activated?
-(I guess unlikely) the day the port-in was done?

I successfully ordered online today 3/2 with expected delivery date of 3/5 after going to store and denied on my application, so I am trying to figure out if cancelling when I receive the phone on 3/5 will count as cancelling within 3 days of service, or will that technically be the 4th day, or I should cancel after I receive the shipping confirmation between now and 3/4. I already got an AT&T account number FWIW. Perthis [att.com], somebody on AT&T form says they start bill you when the phone is shipped when you order directly from AT&T.

Not even a pending $.1? How are they planning to charge those who don't cancel if they don't even have the payment info?

Edit: Also how are y'all getting Google Voice numbers so easily? Google force you to give a real phone number during registration.

What you want is a clean cancellation, not for them to hit you with a surprise bill at the end of the month. If the porting was not successful technically the line should be created but I'd not bet on it.

When BB sets up the account for ATT which is sometime around they ship/notify you for pick up.

ATT will send you a bill later with charges. Nothing is due at BB

Correct, that guy offered me a bund of offers; but I kept denying on his offers and he said that he tried to cancel my line, but it yielded an error; so he recommended me to do it again after 48 hours.

I plan to keep N30 sealed so I want to use the SIM on an unlock GSM. I live in a deadzone. I have a "legit" reason to cancel. But I tried 2 phones, won't register. Setting APN didn't help. Any idea?
